Dirty Dankk was born Robbie R. Miller in Bainbridge, Georgia and later moved to Miami, Florida at the age of eleven and currently resides in the South Florida area. The name “Dirty Dankk” originated in the memory of a very close friend in effort to keep his name alive and pay tribute. Most seem to also notice its synergy with “Dirty South.” Dankk was an upcoming talented and well-known 6’3” basketball player who had achievable hoop dreams of becoming an NBA star. But it all fell down when his former lifestyle caught up with him, and the consequences cost ten years of his life in Federal prison. The opponent of his hoop dreams suddenly became "harsh reality." While paying his debt to society, in 1997 Dirty Dankk began a new career of which evolved into his artistic passion.
His love for music has allowed him to focus on lyrics that all ages can truly enjoy, feel good about, and dance to. Dirty Dankk is no stranger to performing at venues; He has opened for well-known industry artists such as “Jackie-O” and “Lil Boosie.” His southern background has a tremendous influence in his songwriting and love for old school beats. With hooks like Rick Ross and looks like a young David Banner, his musical style demonstrates clarity, positive lyrics, banging beats, and the use of creative catchy phrases.
In taking his music to another level within the music industry, Dankk’s self-created independent record label, Platinum -N- Gold Enterprises has recently collaborated with one of the most well-respected Producers in the game, Platinum Award winning super music producer Buddy Long, better known in the industry as Official "GoldRush." Platinum -N- Gold Records promotes Dirty Dankk’s music throughout the South Florida Region and is expanding nationwide crossing the border into Canada. Other featured and celebrated artists Dirty Dankk has worked with includes Big Rhythm, Bushwick Bill (Ghetto Boys), GS Boys (Stanky Leg), and the legend Doug' E Fresh.
Dirty Dankk is also a published book author under his birth name Robbie Miller. He gives back to society by writing and living a productive life. He loves mentoring the youth. He has become a positive role model and recognizable figure in parts of Georgia, Indiana and most Florida communities. Dirty Dankk has just capped a milestone in his musical career by composing a heartfelt soulful anthem “Welcome To South Florida” for arguably the best part of America, and the community he loves the most. He’s extremely proud to add this one to his ASCAP (Performing Rights Organization) catalogue.
In spite of a rocky childhood relationship and being pronounced clinically dead at the hands of his mom. Ultimately, it was the guidance and support from his mom (Ms. Ruthie Lee) that eventually became his inspiration for continuing along his musical path. He had all but given up, until her recent passing increased his passion and strengthened his outlook on life. She gets the leading credit for shaping him into the man he is today.
