Endarya is a 4-piece Satanic/crossover thrash band from Ames, Iowa.
The band formed in May 2014, and are essentially a boyfriend/girlfriend duo on drums/vocals with their friends on guitar and bass.
Heavily-influenced by European black metal and power metal, Endarya's music is extreme and dark.
Vocalist 'Lagertha Lothbrok', 35, has been singing since she was just 5-years-old. A self-confessed Viking pagan and believer in the gods, she calls on them whenever she can. Lagertha uses a Shure SM58 microphone.
Guitarist 'Primortal Malech', 29, has been playing guitar for 2 years and is a natural. Primortal Malech uses a B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Guitar, DR neon red strings, a DigiTech Death Metal Distortion Guitar Pedal, a Boss ME25 Guitar Multi Effect Pedal, a Crate Amp Head, and a Carvin 4x12 Cabinet.
Bassist 'Bróðir útlagr', 30, (Brother Outlaw) is a former member of the now defunct My Broken Valentine, and newest member of Endarya. He has played several styles of music with various local artists and is now focused on the challenges of metal. He uses a B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar (or a custom-made bass guitar), S.I.T. strings, a Hartke HA3500 350 Watt Amp Head, and a custom-built 4x12 cabinet.
Drummer 'Demon', 44, started playing at the ridiculous age of just 3-years-old. A Satanist who grew up in Des Moines, his great-grandfather was from Transylvania and is a descendant of Valad Tempish... who ruled the region for many years. Demon uses a Pearl Drum Kit, Aquarian Drum Heads, Remo Snare Drum Head, Yamaha Drum Pedals, Paiste PST 7 Heavy Cymbals, Gibraltar Racks, and Vic Firth Rock Nova Drum Sticks.
