In the depths of the USA heavy underground Horehound pound out a throbbing disturbance that harbors moments of suspension in an otherworldly atmosphere met with a tension of real-world despair. Horehound is a traditional post-metal four piece that have molded their unique potent blend of snarling riffs, morose melodies, and rhythmic intricacy that owes equally to doom metal convention and goth/dark ambient environment. The overall sound is slowly melodic with a heavier sludge inspiration dwelling among the grinding guitar, fuzz-laden bass, bruising drums, and demanding, magnetic vocals.
Horehound have been direct support to bands such as Truckfighters, The Obsessed, The Skull, Conan, Acid Witch, Ufomammut, Monolord, Mos Generator, Weedeater, Eyehategod, Kadavar, and Voivod. Horehound have also been featured on US festivals such as Doomed & Stoned, The Maryland Doom Fest, Descendants of Crom, and New England Stoner & Doom.

New Album Released - COLLAPSE on Blackseed Records
In a world where you can choose heavy, tension-releasing music fueled by anger and filled with hope, why choose anything else to put on your playlist, throw in your CD player, or on your turntable as part of your audio meditation and ritual? Horehound agrees and have created an album that sates the need to exhale. On May 27th, 2022 the East Coast (USA) based doom/sludge outfit Horehound unleash their third LP and fourth release, Collapse. Horehound began writing this album in 2020, bringing it to Sid Riggs (Iommi, Saliva, Seether, Alice Cooper) to record and produce and having Tony Reed (Gojira, Electric Wizard, Cough) master it in late 2021. Collapse is heavy, inspired by the times, and the most articulate material the band has presented. Collapse is available on all popular streaming services, released digitally, on CD, and on vinyl (preorder) on 5/27/22.
Horehound Sign with DHU Records for Weight EP
The weight EP features a heavy, two-track teaser to what is to come from Horehound in their upcoming writing. Limited lathe cut copies will be supplied by DHU records and available on the band's Bandcamp as well as DHU Records site.
Additionally, Vinyl CD-Rs will be created and distributed with Blackseed Records.
Signing announcement: Sophmore album 'Holocene' to Doom Stew Records
Doom Stew Records (San Francisco) have signed the finished material that the band has written and recorded over the past year for release on cassette, CD, Digital as well as vinyl formatsl. The release is slated for Nov 30th with the option to buy cassette, CD and or digital as well as place a pre-order for vinyl.
Re-Release of Self-titled debut on CD and Vinyl
Hellmistress Records is re-issuing the Horehound Self-titled debut for 2016 in colored vinyl variations and on disc. The music has been re-mixed, re-mastered, and a bonus song of Portishead's, 'Mysterons', will be covered a la doom!
Bandcamp and Digital Streaming as well as the new CD will be available 4/20/18, the 2nd year anniversary of the original release.
Vinyl is expected to be avilable on June 1st.

Horehound is finished tracking their sophmore LP and has begun the mixing process on 6 tracks. This album features Horehound as a four piece and recording again at the War Room. More updates to come soon!
