Born in Bryansk, Russia and then adopted into his family at 16-months, Ivan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. When he was six years old his grandmother gave him his first drumkit and it was clear from early on that he had a natural ability as he progressed to the piano and then the guitar.
Now a multi-instrumentalist singer songwriter, Ivan has steadily been building a reputation in the Jacksonville music scene as a supremely talented and promising young musician, performing both as a solo artist and alongside established musicians such as Artimus Pyle (Lynyrd Skynyrd) and Michael Allman when he was 16-years-old.
When Ivan met fellow guitarist, Buddy Crump, while playing together in a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band, they were both 19 and 16 respectively and immediately synced with their powerful playing and mutual passion for the craft. After joining forces with high school buddies Jacob Workman (bass) and Mitch McLeod (drums), they formed the Ivan Pulley Band in 2017.
A sign of their now growing stature in the Jacksonville music scene, IPB recently opened for South Florida native and steel pedal guitar legend, Roosevelt “The Dr.” Collier, at the 1904 Music Hall in March of 2018.
Having also recorded their first track, Lovin’ Man, in early 2018 - the band now has plans to get back in the studio to record their debut EP in the hopes of taking it out on the road for audiences across the South East and with the rest of the country to follow.
