Bio
Jon Dubb was born in Lodi, NJ on May 19th, 1983. At a young age Jon was influenced by music and used it to escape from the world around him. Learning that it helped to ease the pain and hard times, he became involved with music at the age of 15, writing and freestyling to express his feelings. He is a lyrical mc that thrives on getting his point across, and letting the listeners and fans know that he has been there and can relate to many of the situations that they may go through.
Album History
Jon currently resides in Virginia Beach, VA, where he writes, records, and produces what he loves most: music. Jon’s desire is to change the game and bring back lyrical content and passion. His debut album, “Microphone Murder”, was released on June 4th, 2010. As a newcomer and extremely hungry, Jon put his heart into the album and showed us who Jon Dubb really is. His sophomore album, “The Revival: A New Beginning” was released on March 22nd, 2011. A little older and much wiser, he hit us with more of an emotional side, but at the same time we saw the smash mouth style he owned on the 1st album. Dubb has currently finished his 3rd project “Liquid Music”, which was released on October 15th, 2013. He puts it all on the line with this versatile album, inviting some well know artists to join him. Some of those features are from legends such as Kool G Rap, Canibus, Cappadonna, DJ Hoppa
(Funk Volume), Nottz Raw and more. Jon tops it off with the official music videos for the instant hits “Lyrical Pump” featuring Canibus, "Dreaming" featuring Catarina Shiflett and "Never Again" raking in hundreds of thousands of views on you tube. There is something for everyone on this album, and it looks to be a definite classic among true Hip Hop heads. Jon is currently working on his forth album titled "The Leilana May Project" which is scheduled to be released on November 14th 2014. This album is already lining up to be huge with heavy promotion and top notch collabs from Dizzy Wright, DJ Hoppa, Jarren Benton, Passionate MC, and more!
