Justin's story is a small slice of the History of House Music. He discovered the revolutionary new sound back in the summer of '86, immediately travelled to New York to find out more, only to stay and become a core member of the Paradise Garage, establishing his ambition, to become an apprentice to the great late maestro Larry Levan. In 1988, JB returned home to the UK and within a short time had met his future partners in what would become Ministry of Sound.
By 1991 his own version of the Garage was open, Justin was artistic director, talent booker and resident DJ through the legendary honeymoon period until 1994. He then DJed around the world pioneering his House sound into virgin markets under the banner of his club, until a serious road accident shortly after moving to Italy in 1999. He rejoined MoS in 2005 to manage the buildout of their franchised clubs in S.E. Asia until the Crash of 2008 when they finally ceased their global expansion.
Since then, Justin has been DJing at the club, keeping his sound up-to-date by joining forces with his daughter Ryza. Their Hybrid Sound, thanks also to an extended Pandemic stay in Jamaica, has evolved into a multi-genre Sound Scape, cycling through the myriad styles of House into Techno and back again.
