"See what I love about music is the sound of how all instruments come together; my definition of making music is like painting a perfect picture and I often say to myself that I am the Ernie Barnes of music." Killah Beatz states. Not only an artst and songwriter, Killah Beatz is also a producer signed to the BYTC Inc. (Back Yard The Coalition) label. Lyrically, he paints portraits and is excellent at using words to illustrate his vision. With his MidWest feel, he becomes a narrator using words to bring his songs to life.
Killah Beatz was born in Chicago, Illinois and was influenced by some of Hip Hop's greats like Common, Dre, 2 Pac, Biggie & The Lox. Growing up in the hard streets of Chicago, he was exposed early to the harsh realities of living in the urban inner city. Music became his salvage and the platform used to release his fustrations and circumstances. His brother acknowledged his gift early on and helped push the bar for him as a songwriter and producer.
"If I could describe my music or sound in one word, I would use enlightenment," Killah Beatz proclaims. His production is built with a great combination of synthesized sounds and hypnotizing drum patterns that undeniably evokes emotions and tells it's own story. Now ready to re-establish his professional music career as an artist, songwriter and producer in Boston, MA under the BYTC label, he is preparing his featured collaborative project along side label mates expected to release in 2018. Killah Beatz is a refreshing element to Hip Hop fanatics and a place for refuge for those yearning for music that's thought provoking.
