"Paint a picture while cats doodle....Jab tracks like Zab Judah....You not a pit....you a bad poodle....Thumbs down...you a bad movie....”
- M.A.C.
The strength of a nation lies on the back of the individuals who step into their authority given the opportunity and M.A.C. didn’t hesitate. When it came his turn, he deployed a style that consists of "no cursing" in his lyrics & speaking on negative life experiences as "good laughs in hook form."
"Baby....you my honey....I'm the bear....put this grapevine in yo' ear.... "-M.A.C.
Born George Julian Hester Sr. on December 14th, 1986 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a then young M.A.C. took unto his own way when his rouge ways carved a path for his artistry. After moving to Huntersville, NC & embracing the relationship between he and his grandfather when he moved to the family farm on Poplar Tent Road, M.A.C. explored his musical interest beyond church and the gospel which was largely instilled by his mother and into the atypical: the favorite tunes of his grandfather.
Nine year old M.A.C. attempted to use his grandfather’s records of Michael Jackson and Kenny Rogers for an experiment and ended up learning about owning sound; this incident shaped what it meant to “make the music that makes you” - words shared from his role model & namesake George Washinton Moore aka "Big George." It was also during this time that M.A.C. was introduced to rap music through stumbling upo nBusta Rhymes lengendary song “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” and it was then that he knew that in order to deliver his message he would have to combine his love for art and uniqueness with that quirky element that would shape his knack for storytelling.
Now, M.A.C. is a man whose music speaks of the epic journey and adventures of his own life. An all time favorite line of his: “Let me catch ya’ll up on the last 8 years: college, military prison and then I made it here,” is the rite of passage that has given him the authority to speak on subjects that make him a powerful player in the future of the music industry & also to deliver a sound that is soul-rupturing. His voice dripping with the masculinity and depth that’s missing from the music of many artists in today’s market. M.A.C. makes it known that he is not for sale and each track he passionately delivers is well-aimed and poignant.
In 2014, M.A.C. signed to Banknote Mitch's ground breaking independent record label known as Black Array Entertaiment. He accompanied Banknote Mitch himself on his first label release, in 2016 on the hit single "Lonely" which was featured on all major media blogs including ThisIs50.com, AllHipHop.com, and Mitch's 2016 album entitled "Now or Never."
"That's Right...."-M.A.C.
Where M.A.C. is going, he doesn’t need roads. Each day offers a revelation to the purpose of telling the truth and M.A.C. knows nothing less. With his sights set on expansion abroad and his 2018 single "Wit Da Flex" making it to the Pure Break Music Charts in Europe, South America, & Asia; M.A.C. let’s his empathetic spirit pave the way for his rhymes, making him a pioneer in his own right. Sharing his top-down view of the world just might give hip-hop & music the resuscitation it needs.
“Like Mike Jordan....I'll hurt 'em....Like Mike Jack when I turn up....All y'all slow like turtles....I'm Peter Rabbit when I turn up....” - M.A.C.
Taking my music across the States exploring the world and developing as an artist. Working with the Saving Children Saving Lives Campaign will allow me to help the youth transition into the artist they desire and teach them to never give up on their dream!
