After gaining west coast exposure on air as radio personality “Miss Maya on Fire” on KBMB 103.5 The Bomb she became aware of the greatness echoing in her voice. She’s performed from California to New York, became a finalist in the world’s famous Showtime at the Apollo, opened for hip hop legends ranging from Common to Chino XL, and guest featured on Bay area’s own Zion I’s overseas release track titled “Act Right”. Miss Marianna has made print in The Sacramento Bee, The Sacramento Observer, the Sacramento News & Review, featured on local news stations in Sacramento including Channel 10 News, Channel 31 Good Morning Sacramento, and recent coverage on internet sites DubbCNN.com, Hiphopruckus.com and Raptalk.net.

Miss Marianna dropped her first mixtape with Violator DJ Alvin D, a second mixtape project titled “Miss Marianna: DaLastLaugh”, an LP titled: "To be Cont.." Da Hitman Presents: Miss Marianna “Face Off” and featured on a host of other mixtapes available online.

In 2011, after dropping her hip hop mixtape “Face Off” and receiving over 75k hits in first the 3 days of its release, articles and mentions from America to India and music production all the way from heavy hitting producers in Japan.. In Feb 2011 she won The Langston Hughes Spoken Word Oratorical Competition and released “Plethora: A Spoken Word Experience”. She’s been the platform feature in West coast’s finest venues and clubs including Mics & Moods, Pierced Ear Poetry, Talk Back Tuesdays, and Sacramento’s 1st Annual Hip Hop Honors Show. She has been VJ/ Host to L&L TV featuring Local Talent from Hip Hop, and R&B Artists on the West Coast. Her newest show launching, Mariology TV, highlights various indie artists, hip business owners and hot topics.
