Bri Blue is an Author, Host, Orator, Spoken Word Performing Artist, Women’s Rights Advocate, and Motivational Speaker hailing from Berkeley, CA. A UC Berkeley alumna, Blue’s passionate and emotionally charged performances allow her to connect with audiences through empathy, relatability and inspiration. Blue has been invited to lend her creative, captivating brand of truth telling to events across the US including the national stage for Lexus’ broadcast performance show ‘Verses and Flow’. A three time published author, Bri Blue has a digital following of over 15,000, is the co-producer and host of Speak Easy, a widely popular weekly Open Mic Showcase in Northern CA, and created the 'Unapologetically You' Awareness Campaign which has a mission to empower, inspire and uplift women who have questioned their value, worth or purpose. Named the 2015 Northern CA Entertainers Music Awards' Poet of the Year, the Best Female Spoken Word Artist in the 2014 & 2015 Bay Area Black Music Awards, and the 2014 H.O.P.E. Awards’ Most Inspiring Writer in the Bay Area, Bri Blue is a force to be reckoned with. A member of the 2016 Berkeley Slam Poetry Team (ranked 3rd in the nation in 2015) she brings to the scene a commanding voice, a presence which cannot be ignored, and an unapologetic perspective.
