NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Prince tribute band Purple Masquerade is headed to Nashville next week in the wake of the pop star’s death.

The show will take place at 12th & Porter as a celebration of Prince Roger Nelson’s life and music.

The venue described Prince as a one-of-a-kind innovator, influencer and inspiration to many, noting how Nashville paid tribute immediately after his passing.

With the Parthenon and Korean Veterans Bridge shining with purple lights to local news stations sharing tour memories, it’s clear “Nashville love Prince.”

“Today is a sad day for Purple Masquerade, and the world,” the band, Purple Masquerade, said in a statement on their Facebook page the day Prince died. “The man Prince is gone but will never be forgotten.”

Their show begins at 8 p.m. on May 7 at 12th & Porter, which is located at 12th Avenue and Porter Street in downtown Nashville near the Interstate 40/65 exit at Broadway.

The night will filled with purple and dancing as Prince’s legendary body of work is celebrated.

Tickets can be purchased at Ticketweb.com or at the door for $12. The show is 18 years and over.
