Rugilė currently resides in the Netherlands. Working in Amsterdam and Den Haag, Rugilė is finishing her Jazz Vocals master studies in a prestigious Conservatory of Amsterdam after graduating with cum laude from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, Bachelor studies of Jazz Vocals and Performing Arts in 2013.
Rugilė Performs not only as a singer - You can also hear her play flute, guitar and kanklės* (Lithuanian folk plucked string instrument) in records and concerts.
Next to performing, Rugilė composes music and writes lyrics under the Spiritual artist name *Corujinha * (which in Portuguese language means Little Owl). In her growing collection are new lyrics written for Jazz classics such as Crystal Silence, Search for Peace, Star Eyes, Infant Eyes, Nica’s Dream, Lover Man (now called My Beloved), famous song La Vie en Rose and her own original compositions.
Writing and singing in English, Lithuanian and Portuguese languages, reflecting on the Beauty of Life, many Faces of good/God, personal spiritual experiences, Rugilė aims to bring her message of Love and Light to listeners who appreciate the art of word as well as the magic of music.

Freedom, Peace, Joy and Magic are the key words describing their music and the presence.
After the recording and release of Rugilė’s debut album "A Promise" with her quartet, Rugilė and Robert formed the Duo.
They are currently recording Duo album "One Peace of Magic" which is meant for the wider audience than only the so called jazz freaks.
Carefully chosen repertoire consists of the All-Time Classics, original compositions and modern arrangements of Lithuanian folk songs.
Rugilė’s special contribution is lyrics that she wrote for most of the songs that Duo performs.

The debut album of Rugilė and A Promise Quartet was released in 2014.
Titled “A Promise”, album received positive critics from the press, was played in dutch national and local radio stations: Radio 6, Sublime FM, Radio Helmond, Radio Rijnmond.
Album is on sale in physical format in the Netherlands, Japan and Lithuania. It is available in digital format on iTunes, Spotify, CdBaby.
Jazz critic Frank Husser describes approach and energy of the A Promise Quartet music : “The band is tight and driven, but not without flair and a contagious sense of freedom. Passion, then, is the word” (Jazzflits, Frank Husser, the Netherlands, 2014).

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
2013 - 2015: Master Degree of Jazz Singing, Amsterdam Conservatory, the Netherlands;
2009 - 2013: Bachelor Degree (with Cum Laude) of Jazz Vocals and Performing Arts, Royal Conservatory in The Hague, The Netherlands;
2014: Diploma of Basic Pranic Healing attained in Dubai, United Arab Emirates;
2007 - 2009: First 2 out of 4 Year of Bachelor of Psychology finished, Vilnius University, Vilnius, Lithuania. Studies stopped with a possibility to continue.

- Press 1st Prize in Leiden Jazz Awards (2013)
- Semifinals in Montreaux Vocal Jazz Competition (2013)
- Passed all the rounds to the Voice of Holland but didn’t sign the contract (2013)
- Finalist in Zwolle Vocal Competition (2011)
- Winner in her age category in Dainų Dainelė, Lithuanian National Song Contest (2007)
