SATANIC are a band from Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada spawned from the alliance of three evil souls obsessed with old school Metal. “Architecture Of Chaos” contains 8 musky, hasty, and of the most fervent Death Metal tunes in the history of the genre. Death Metal with lyrical themes as: war, satanism, conspiracies worldwide.
SATANIC are without a shadow of a dought Architecture of Chaos’s darkest. Most sinister and brutal work to date. And in this case it comes to means that the band has gone from the utterly extreme to the genre expanding and mind-boggling.
The band’s first full lenght debut release 2017 “Architecture Of Chaos” decide to suck out the fierciest and most potent energies from every single member and surrounding, chanelling it into songs that are pulsating with uncanny atmospheres, rawness and nerve shattering intensity.
Satanic are three guys from Trois-Rivieres in Quebec. We have Martin Carle on the drums, Guillame Petit on guitar and vocals and finally, Izaac Beaudoin on bass and vocals. Recorded at Sam’s Studio in 2016 by S. Landry.
When the first lyric in an album is “Bleugh!”, you know that you are in for a treat. So is the case with the debut album, Architecture of Chaos, from today’s Band of the Day, Satanic; a Canadian death/thrash metal trio who have collected together some wickedly heavy and almost always barbaric tracks, and squeezed them in to an album which can barely contain the amount of metal within it. Satanic take it old-school with their extreme metal, producing a raw and untamed monster of an album, one which truly harnesses the tropes of classic death metal, while taking heavy influences from bands from the first-wave of thrash metal.
Throwing you in at the deep end and then holding your head under the water, Satanic open Architecture of Chaos, and indeed every single one of their songs on the album, by playing at full capacity, seemingly not caring if you’re ready or not for their full on assault on the ear drum. It is an adapt or die type situation, where you either immediately fall in to the intense velocity of tracks such as “Mephistophelian” and “Armageddon”, or you will be crushed under the sheer weight of their sludgier tracks, with “World of Chaos” being a particularly weighty number.
Satanic certainly live up to their name, with the music produced by the band being frightening enough to terrify a priest. Something which is remarkable though is that this is the first release from the band who only formed in 2016, and yet Architecture of Chaos manages to sound entirely professional, almost level with the likes of Cannibal Corpse or Skeletonwitch.
If this is what Satanic are capable of producing this early in their career, when the band is still effectively in its infancy, then they will most definitely produce some truly special extreme metal albums in the near future.
Canadians Satanic decided to take into account two genres to that of death metal mixed with thrash metal, of the metal genre. What be the ending results of the genre mixture well brutality! Hence forth the written and recorded content that is their debut album titled "Architecture of Chaos". The album consisting of 8-tracks brings together the genres mentioned prior except enhances them, as the quality over quantity is superior. Like for instance take the opener "Mephistophelian", it is simply aggressive yet fierce. The usage of guitar riffs with constant drum beatings makes the vocal chords more intense in quality appearances. In other words, the music is downright fun and entertaining, surely an opening number, to really get you into the mood of what is offered here. As other numbers like 'World of Chaos", "Processing The Undead", "Armageddon", and "Biotech Warfare", give you the idea of what the opening track was offering beforehand. Except these tracks are more of a variety of sorts, still death and thrash metal to its finest possibilities available, but they are more heavier and keep the music flowing on an ongoing bases. How else would you expect metal music to turn out, but be heavy, brutal, and loads of fun! It's how Satanic roll with the beats of their genre mixing, and for them it just works in their favor more so than it should let alone needs to be really. Be sure to keep your eye out for any other material that progresses from an act such as this one.

Canadian death metallers SATANIC, hailing from Trois-Rivieres, Quebec are described in their bio as "spawned by the alliance of three evil souls obsessed with old school death metal". And that sums it all up, really. Oh, except for the fact they originally named themselves SATANIC GLUE SNIFFERS. Thankfully, they decided to shorten it down to one word. But aside from that, SATANIC deliver a simple, yet nasty, filthy form of thrashy death metal that's at its finest when they keep it down to earth, as they often do on first full-length "Architecture Of Chaos". Guillaume Petit (guitars, vocals), Izaac Beaudoin (bass, vocals) and Martin Carle (drums) seem to have no interest in constant noodling in the studio as other bands who tend to splinter their albums with unnecessary nonsense. SATANIC are straight and to the point, providing a swift kick in the ass to the genre.
First track 'Mephistophelian' begins with riveting guitars before pounding, steady drums join in to introduce grimy vocals that make you want to shower afterwards. 'World Of Chaos' has a vocal/guitar serenade before the music thunders forward in high-octane abundance. You won't be able to sit still within 20 seconds. A deep, deep bassline introduces 'Processing The Undead', leading into a familiar swarm of crackling guitars and esophagus-ripping growls. 'Architecture Of Apocalypse' slows it down a notch only briefly before a galloping round of battle-craving sound blasts and blisters its way through the speakers. From the apocalypse to 'Armageddon', SATANIC'S interest in the end of the world starts to take over.
There's nothing too complex on "Architecture Of Chaos", and that's just fucking fine with me. Because the last three tracks, 'Systematic Fear', 'Biotech Warfare' and 'Tchernobyl 86' seal the deal in a tumultuous rage of destruction and blood-curdling fury.
Let's hope SATANIC: a) Don't change their name back to SATANIC GLUE SNIFFERS and b) Continue to burst our eardrums with their classic death metal sound for years to come.

Fuck ... a band with the name SATANIC is actually already in the obligation to fabricate more than 0815-Gekotze. And with Lucifer ... they do too! Already the guitar board at the beginning of "Mephistophelian" shows, what the inclined listeners expect in the next 40 minutes: a brutal and basically honest mix of mercilessly bolted Death Metal and old school Thrash Metal. With "World of Chaos" you will then have a short, but fast brutal Death Metal overkill - what is offered here in just over two and a half minutes, is quite tough to call, but if you are also quite stressed melody, which so a little think of the things of DEATH. With "Processing The Undead" this impression intensifies again, because the detailed guitar solos are reminiscent of works by Chuck Schuldiner in the time of DEATH's "Spiritual Healing", "Human" or "Symbolic". A gifted artist, who left us far too early at the age of 34 (December marks the 16th anniversary of his death, by the way). But back to SATANIC again. Also, the next piece "Architecture of Apocalypse" is the game-technically in no way, even includes some references to combos such as CANNIBAL CORPSE or SPEARHEAD from the UK. "Armageddon" then represents in my eyes the highlight of the album. A brutal chaos. A set painting of blood and guts, death, annihilation and war. The soundtrack to the demise of humanity, And so the nail was probably completely sunk in the flesh, because if the musical performance of a song so skillfully to implement the title, everything was done right! Incidentally, the same applies to "Tchernobyl 86" - a death-bringing manifesto of real (man-made) horror.
Conclusion:
It has become very rare that I listen to pure Death Metal works, since most of me then rather too technical and playfully too verfrickelt is. This has nothing to do with my modesty, but rather because this kind of music has no substance for me. Playfully, this may be the non plus ultra, but it just does not really have a soul for me. The situation is different with SATANIC, who come across authentically with their music and have a clear "Fuck you all!" Attitude. The men also master their instruments and playfully leave nothing to be desired, even citing the sizes of the scene here and there, but not in the sense of a copy, but rather as a tribute. Death / Thrash Metal as it should be!Email contact can be ordered from Brutal Records , otherwise there is also the possibility to get the album via the Bandcamp site of SATANIC .

The band was formed in 2016 by Izaac Beaudoin, Martin Carle and Guillaume Petit experienced musicians who have already worked together on projects like Hellbörn, Propagator and Satanic Glue Sniffers. The band carries in their compositions the strong and powerful Thrash / Death Metal very well influenced by bands like Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Mayhem, Morbid Angel, Dark Throne among others. His lyrics explore themes such as War, Satanism and Conspiracies.
In 2016 the band shows to the world their debut album titled "Architecture of Chaos" the material made in digipak incorporates a total of 40 minutes of pure chaos divided into 8 compositions. In July 2017 Brutal Records releases this material and shoots it all over the world, leaving all true Thrash / Death Metal fans marveling at the brutality displayed in "Architecture of Chaos".
The album is very well elaborated, presenting compositions that apply the main elements of both strands, here the lovers of Tharsh Metal will be surprised by the amount of riffs and melodies presented, remembering and representing very well the old school and mainly maintaining the traditions of each strand.

Wow. This album fucking slays from beginning to end. This is almost perfect, to the point where I can't really find something wrong actually worth pointing out. This is death/thrash with the balance tipping a bit more into death metal territory with some insanely fast and heavy, pounding passages that will stop you dead in your tracks. I've had to pick myself off the floor more than a few times when listening to this little gem. The thrashiest parts are nothing to sneeze at either, with some razor-sharp riffage that calls for the air guitar. They occasionally throw in some more... hmmm... "artsy" weird bits that come unexpected amidst this insane speed fest, and that just makes things more interesting.
I'm rarely genuinely impressed these days, if only because of the sheer number of albums that play through my speakers. Here's the bad news for Satanic: You've set the bar pretty fucking high from the get go, and you have one hell of a tall order for the next album.

Extreme metal bands are the trend now. There’s no doubt about it. I’ve written that zillion times here. The opening track of this Satanic “Architecture of Chaos” is just amazing. “Mephistophelian” is a thrilling combination of old school heavy metal instrumentals with a helish vocal. The outcome is something fresh and cool. “Mephistophelian” is a great example of how an opening track should be. In general they are supposed to be the best, or at least one of the best of the album. That happens because people have to be caught in the first hearing. There’s not enough time nowadays to captivate the fan.
But don’t go thinking that Satanic’s intent was only that. “Architecture of Chaos” is a varied album. The motto is, of course the combination I told before, but Satanic had the care of mixing tempos and cadence of songs. One thing about the guitar is that Mr. Guillaume Petit uses a lot of guitar squeaks as in the 1980s, the biggest inspiration to Satanic. And the thing I like most is the clear distortion, so we can hear, and understand, all guitar phrases. His guitar playing is absolutely rooted on the amazing old school metal traditions. Simple, clean, but it gets intrincated as in “Armageddon.” Hearing to it makes me feel so unreal.
“Architecture of Chaos” is not exactly a travel in time, but a combination of times. “Systematic Fear” is a song that combines modern and ancient guitar techniches with some double bass drumming that brings it to another level of awesomeness. The feeling is 1980s, but there are lot of touches of modernity in it. Satanic are a band of principles which go untouched throughout “Architecture of Chaos.” The intent is to be the sickest possible without loosing the understandable meaning. It means that a band must be understandable to their fans, not simply a mass of inaudible sounds.
Satanic’s “Architecture of Chaos” is inspiring. It brings you to a new level of awesomeness, even though playing some real old school death metal. Maybe that’s the secret of Satanic.
Satanic is not an unknown group in the Trois-Rivières area . The group is a more professional resurrection of Satanic Glue Sniffers , the name that the group was wearing before. A good change of singer and here the album Architecture of Chaos (2017) is born. Three musicians who officiate in an old school metal thrash at once fast and dark. Note that the band is releasing the album worldwide on the Brutal Records label. Let's not waste too much time and let's see together what this new mischief contains.
Mephistophelian opens the show with some influence style Slayer from the following rhythmic incorporates more towards a thrash typed Celtic Frost lovely 1980s Quick with a high shrill voice. Despite this surge of frenzied rhythm, there is nevertheless a certain melody from the guitar. A beautiful introduction to brutal and direct. World of Chaos is a short piece that mixes speed metal and thrash with a vocal vibe close to death metal. The rhythm remains well paced and sustained. All stops abruptly to connect with Processing the Undead, which in turn starts with the bass alone. The song is much darker, without being devoid of brutality and unbridled rhythm. Several breaks of rhythm take a certain depth to the atmosphere of the song. Architecture of Apocalypse is a song that is more nuanced with changes of various rhythms from all instruments, we transport in a dimension even more brutal than thrash practiced so far by the group. Be careful this is not a bad song, but get ready for a brutal and hellish mosh pit. Armageddonoffers a much more sustained rhythm but be careful, on the latter you would feel a more bluesy atmosphere in its rhythm without ever losing its brutal side and thrash to perfection. The guitar offers a festive rhythm and the voice a much darker side, a very good amalgam of the two. With Systematic Fear , we are entitled to a mixture of brutal parts from all instruments. A voice very close to death metal, very dark and screaming at will. A battery ultra fast and highly effective even at some slowdowns, the whole remains very powerful and heavy. Biotech Warfare offers us a certain dynamic sound that can be found in the influence of a certain Quebec grouplike Voivod , but beware, these are just ambiances hidden here and there, because the rhythm is completely thrash and fast. The whole thing ends with the song Chernobyl a more nuanced piece in all of his rhythm, a certain heaviness of the battery at the beginning gives him a power in his rhythm. Good rhythm changes at times and an excellent guitar solo. What more could you ask for to finish an album of pure thrash direct and without compromise.
Satanic has laid an album of pure old school trash. Do not expect a smooth production, quite the opposite, on this album we are entitled to a gross production that we expect from an old school thrash album. Architecture of Chaos contains eight fast and brutal songs at once, no respite is offered to the listener. A powerful guitar and ultra efficient. The combination bass and drums, super solid and what to say in the voice loud and dark at the same time. A pure feast of thrash that will easily make the crowd react in brutal mosh pit. Whether we are a fan of modern thrash or more old school, this album will please many and Quebec-Metal strongly recommend Architecture of Chaos .
My rating: 7.5 / 10
It has been quite a while since I heard something from the combination of death and thrash metal, and ever since I came to such realization I’ve had a craving for the style. So tonight, I sat down determined to find something tasty, and it led to me having to do a bit of digging all the way back to this time last year which I typically don’t like doing but I made an exception for tonight, and I’m very happy I did as I found the Canadian act of Satanic quite tasty to the very end.
With such an obligatory name, cover art, and theme, one wouldn’t expect from this band based out of Quebec to really be anything special. And while I can’t sit here and tell you that Satanic is one of the greatest thrashy death albums I’ve ever heard, there’s no denying that “Architecture of Chaos” does its job of raising hell and damning all that there is incredibly well. While still keeping true to the tropes that death and thrash metal have set for themselves over the years, Satanic manages to incorporate their own special flavor into their music that really makes “Architecture of Chaos” so much more bearable than the millionth cookie cutter record of death/thrash that we get so wearily often. All eight of these tracks show that Satanic isn’t as stale as many bands that populate the style as these Canadians could easily break their sound apart to where they can stand proud as either a death or thrash record and they’d still nail it which makes the overall result of “Architecture of Chaos” that much more of a personality that actually fucking works! It takes real attention to detail to really take such a played out style that has seen all sorts of unimaginative bands comes through (as with all metal), yet Satanic managed to bring a real breath of familiar and fresh air to the mix that really pays off in the end.
Speed, power, and pure rage are all it takes to make a solid death/thrash album, and Satanic has got that in absolute fucking spades with this album. “Architecture of Chaos” is an album that has many stereotypes of this particular style, but the way that this band played the cards made it so that not only is this an enjoyable album regardless but also the kind of thing that shows definite potential that can help this band blossom into something truly special.

Satanic are a Canadian death/thrash metal band and this is their debut album.
Satanic play death metal mixed with thrash. The death metal side of the band’s style takes care of the aggression, while the thrash metal side concerns itself with spiky riffs and lightning guitar solos.
Clearly and proudly influenced by old-school metal, this pays homage to the 80s and 90s both in sound and style, with the recording suiting the mood and the music, taking a thrashy approach to death metal.
The songs rip and tear their way through the playing time with wild abandon and an uncaring attitude towards collateral damage. The tracks are belligerent and primitive, and aren’t afraid of getting their hands dirty in the trenches.
While the music is effectively a balanced mix of death and thrash metal, the vocals are mainly weighted in favour of feral old-school death metal. The singer’s voice is authentic and raw.
This sounds so realistically old-school that I could easily imagine it being released back in the day, so to speak. If you’re someone that’s after something shiny and new, then this isn’t for you. If, however, you’re not afraid of a few cobwebs and some dried blood, then Architecture of Chaos might be just what you’re looking for. Check it out.
Satanic are three guys from Trois-Rivieres in Quebec. We have Martin Carle on the drums, Guillame Petit on guitar and vocals and finally, Izaac Beaudoin on bass and vocals. Architecture of Chaos has 8 tracks on it and is not much more than 40 minutes long. It deals with topics such as war, worldwide conspiracies and Satanism. Satanic are said to be obsessed with old school metal and their debut is claimed to be the most fervent death metal tunes in the history of the genre. A bold claim indeed. Let’s see then.
Architecture of Chaos opens with Mephistophelian which loosely means wicked or fiendish. It is derived from Mephistopheles who was one of the seven chief demons in Medieval Demonology. It is a furiously heavy start with a fast chugging riff before a demonic growl introduces a really infectious riff. The vocals are roared intermittently but the guitars are the lead on this track. The drums lack a little power, production wise, which is a shame but not overly noticeable due to the leading guitar riffs. Speed riffing is something Satanic do a lot of and do well. World of Chaos has a slower, descending guitar over some sickening, bile inducing growls before launching into a blisteringly fast riff. Armageddon is another good example of it with neck breaking riffage that just gets small interruptions from a bit of rhythm or a bass solo every now and then. Systematic Fear has a riff played so fast and loud, the picking almost blurs into one continuous note.
There is a lot of inventiveness and variation though too, especially with intros. Processing the Undead has a more rhythmic start and the drums sound meatier too which is welcome. It has a great riff at the end with horrific vocals that move in sync with the guitar line that I adore. Architecture of Apocalypse also has a slower start with a sweet bass line that is joined by a solid riff which turns into a nice solo. There is another great little solo near the end that turns into a properly infectious head banging riff. Try not to nod your head to this song. It’s impossible.
The whole album has a real old school death metal feel, even in the production and mastering. What there is though is a ton of little modern touches that elevate Architecture of Chaos. The excellent bass lines and solos, the brilliant riffing, the powerful, satanic vocals and the drumming which pounds along at rip roaring pace with immaculate timing. This is proper death metal – it’s hard hitting, eye opening and bloody good to listen to. There is so much aggression, so much speed but it is balanced off with the right amount of groove and rhythm like in the penultimate track, Biotech Warfare. It sums up Satanic perfectly. The riffing goes from insanely fast to amazingly catchy. The drums pound out an infectious rhythm before going into overdrive. The bass bangs away creating the perfect foundation and the vocals are disturbingly strong. The album ends on a huge sub 9 minute long death metal orgasm called Tchernobyl 86. Like the rest of the album we move through excellent riff after excellent riff. Constantly heavy it moves through different levels of speed. The vocals sound so good here and the drums sound good too. It is such a strong way to finish the album, dropping all the slow downs and just blasting you with 9 minutes of brutality.
Architecture of Chaos is a seriously good album. Satanic, and Brutal Records, are on to something big here. The production does feel very old school. While I like that, the drums do get a little lost sometimes so could do with a bit more volume. You can hear how amazing the drum patterns are, let’s just hear them a little louder. A minor issue but it doesn’t detract from what is one of the strongest and heaviest death metal albums you are likely to hear this year. Check it out, you won’t regret it. Just be warned, you may damage your neck once you get into this.
Satanic are a band from Quebec, Canada that plays a mixture of death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2017 album "Architecture Of Chaos" which will be released in August by Brutal Records.
A very heavy sound starts off the album along with all of the musical instruments sounding very powerful before adding in elements of thrash metal while the vocals are mostly old school death metal style growls and screams and the riffs also bring in a decent amount of melody and the music has roots in the 80's and 90's.
While most of the music is mostly rooted in the past it still sounds very modern at the same time and the solos and leads also stick to a very old school style and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard ans as the album progresses clean playing can be heard in certain sections of the recording and some of the tracks are very long and epic in length.
Satanic plays a musical style that mixes death and thrash metal together to create a very heavy recording, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Satanism, war and Conspiracy Theory themes.
In my opinion Satanic are a very great sounding mixture of death and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Mephistophelian" "Armageddon" and "Biotech Warfare". 8 out of 10.
