Southern Gypsies is an acoustic country female duo with various genres mixed in that consists of Brittany Nicole Stokes and Tessa House. They both play acoustic guitar and contribute to the vocals - both melody and harmony. Tessa also plays the banjo.
These girls met in the summer of 2014, and after hearing each other's sets, they decided they had too much in common to not give a duo a shot.
Both Brittany and Tess been playing since their mid-teens. They have been featured (individually) at the McSwain Theater, The Texico Country Showdown (Formerly Colgate Country Showdown), Ada Idol, and other venues around Ada. The recently won second place in the Blake Shelton Showdown in September 2014.
Compared to the likes of The Pistol Annies, The Dixie Chicks, The Wreckers.
