It all started back in 2012.
What exactly 'it' is remains to be seen. Is The Interval a jazz band? A prog funk band? A barbershop quartet missing a member?
Perhaps a bit of each. The Interval flows through many genres, skirting their way through pop tunes and grinding their way through 8 minute epics. Their music is organic and fun, accessible without being boring, experimental without being overwhelming. But how do they fill up all that space? Are they worried about only having three members?
"No, I think it gives the music room to breathe. And it prevents us from stepping on each other's toes" says Stefan, resident bass expert.
"Not really, people would just be focusing on my playing regardless" says Jackson, batterer of all things drum like.
"We only have three members?" asks Alex, The Interval's token pretty boy, a confused look spreading across his face.
I guess that clears that up.
"Individually, the members of The Interval - Jackson, Stefan and Alex - are each highly talented musicians whose skill and chops are obvious. Collectively, they create tunes that blend the best of classic funk, jazz, rock and blues. Definitely a band to watch."
