"Must.Get.Better.Will.Get.Better." -- I.O.E. -> Integrity.Over.Everything.
From homeless and hopeless to focused and ferocious, XAP (f/k/a JawnZap7) has made a name for himself in the Philadelphia hip-hop scene by tirelessly grinding for his list of achievements. Before going solo he achieved a XXL feature and a spot on FUSE TV's reality show "Bodog Music Battle of the Bands" as a member of Burndown All-Stars. Since releasing his acclaimed solo album "Rubber Teeth & Wax Lips" the notoriously energetic emcee has released tons more solo material and joined forces with noted live band Bong Hits For Jesus.
XAP has shared the stage with such luminaries as The Roots, Cypress Hill, Common, Redman, Schooly D., Mr. Lif, RJD2, Bahamadia, ED OG, Digable Planets, 2Live Crew, Grieves, Mac Lethal, Akrobatik, Joell Ortiz, Masta Ace, Rah Digga, Wordsworth, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Jedi Mind Tricks, Outerspace, Reef The Lost Cauze, Pigeon Jon, Soul Khan, Planet Asia, Zion I, P.O.S., Last Emperor, The Grouch, Wise Intelligent, Hakim Green, ICON The Mic King, Sublime w/ Rome, Rebelution, Matisyahu, Ratdog, Steel Pulse, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Spearhead, Soulive, and more, rocking major stages like The Electric Factory, The TLA, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, The Trocadero Theatre, The House of Blues, and World Cafe Live. He has also played festivals such as All Good Festival (2006-2008), Camp Bisco, and Opple Topple. It's safe to say that with a history of nonstop work ethic and a wealth of experience in the industry, one would be wise to put stock in XAP.

“You know how much weed they smoke. You expect them to notice some pictures?” Rap veteran Schoolly D posed that question in the decisive moment after the battle between rappers OHM and Jawnzap 7–and sparked raucous laughter from the Gladiator-esque gallery in the Troc’s upper deck and fan pool below. Philadelphia’s Trocadero was the scene for the melee that was Thursday night’s Red Bull EmSee, an interactive rap battle meant to fish out the best of the best coming up in Philly’s rap-pond. Jawnzap 7, who rocked the No. 7 Eagles jersey, managed to make his own Vick-like scramble out of that round. Judges Schoolly D, Redman, and Joell Ortiz made the call in his favor and matched those tense moments seven more time throughout the night as others made a play for the crown.

Local emcee Jawnzap7 a.k.a. Randall Quinn just leaked a new track called “White Haired Lady” for free download from his new album stating “my best rap song ever…lol.” Actually, you’d most likely hear the thrashed out jam in a Philly basement rather than bumpin’ at the club on a weekend night as Quinn shares with us his Ice-T/Body Count moment.

HOT ARTIST REPRESNTIN JERSEY OUT AT OLD CITY PHILLY

The BurnDown All-Stars are going international. Featured in "Bodog Music’s Battle of the Bands" a reality show set to air in the US, Canada and Europe on the Fuse Network July 8th at 8pm, this grass roots independent movement is poised to beat the odds and become your next favorite band.
BurnDown began in August 2002 when founding members Dave Quicks , RokBottom & Kuf Knotz began recording their friends in a warehouse in the East Falls section of Philly. By the time they were finished they had an eighteen-song album (BurnDown presents…Volume 1, The Outside Connect Jawn) representing forty of the best musicians, dj’s, singers and emcees Philly had to offer. Over the next couple of years, along with other founding members Carlito Attack and Kuf Knots, BurnDown began building a traveling team, an All-Star band. By the 2005 release of BurnDown’s second album (BurnDown presents… Volume 2), the All-Stars line-up had solidified. The current twelve man crew has been playing together ever since. Joining guitarist and singer Dave Quicks and emcees Kufie, RokBottom and Carlito is Tom Walling on drums, Rico Joseph on bass, emcees Lord Biz, The Dialects and JawnZap7 and Tom Copson on lead guitar.
A steady performance schedule has the All-Stars’ live show on point. In fact, BDAS was recently named the best independent band in the Northeast at the Independent Music World Series hosted by DiscMakers and Billboard Magazine. BurnDown also has been chosen to represent Philadelphia in the nationwide Bodog Music Battle of the Bands, a touring reality show which will eventually award one band out of seventeen, a million dollar record contract. The band has shared the stage with Steel Pulse, Common, The Roots and many more.
BDAS have finished recording what is essentially their first record as a band at BurnDown Studios in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. The band is looking forward to a busy summer, now that they have a smoking hot new release "Wake Up" and continue to tour.
