Adrian Michaels is an Electronic Music Producer and DJ. With a proven track record in producing and performing original House, Electro House, Commercial Dance, Dubstep and Progressive House, Michaels has solidified his position as a top up-and-coming talent in the Dance community.
In 2013, Michaels had multiple songs in radio rotation worldwide, including "My Fight" a remix he completed for 14-year old singer Grace Lyons, "Forever" the title track from his Summer EP, "Believe" a collaboration with New York-based singer Adam Joseph, "Don't Stop Believing" a powerfully charged remix of Journey's hit song and "I Need You" a Soulful House song he produced under the alias Felix Pope.
Michaels also performed at the Soundwave Music Festival in 2013. Other artists who performed included: Tiesto, Porter Robinson, Sultan & Shepard, Danny Avila and Audien. In addition to performing, Michaels co-produced the Progressive House anthem "Waves" with DJ Knick Knack, which became the official song of the Festival.
Recently, Michaels was featured on the Electronic Dance Music blog OnlytheBeat.com for his remix of "This Could Be (f. David Ethan)," by DJ Knick Knack. "Adrian pumps up the energy on this one, injecting it with some serious saws that made me make something similar to the thillz face while nodding my head in approval," said OTB. "This track will make you jump."
He has also been featured in Intamission Music, Pop Vulture Magazine and Indie Minded. It's no secret and no surprise that his stock is quickly rising after a growing and impressive body of singles and remixes in 2013, including: "Panic Attack (Adrian Michaels Remix)" for British Pop Star Florrie, "I Love Barcelona (Adrian Michaels Remix)" for New York-based DJ Kindbud, "ONE" a collaboration with New York-based singer Adam Joseph and a disco-esque throwback "Be There (Adrian Michaels Remix) for singer Katy Cappella.
Michaels started producing music in 2002 and has covered all styles from Dance and Hip-Hop to Jazz and Rock. His DJ career began in 2006, spinning House and UK Garage at underground clubs and events in Ohio. "It was kind of a good start, because it wasn't commercial at all," he says. "I was part of that scene where it was a little different than how it is now. We were all vinyl on Techs. And people were all about the music."
Since moving from Ohio, he has performed at electronic music clubs including Wild Knights (recently renamed "International"), Smashboxx and 10,000 sq ft mega-club Maya.
Anticipation is already building for his first solo album, set for release March 11. Previews of the tracks are getting great reviews from consumers, producers and DJs. This CD covers multiple styles within "EDM" and even brings in a few other styles. "I love several genres of electronic music and I want to bring a more musical flavor to what's being done right now," Michaels says. "I love how Avicii kind of mixed Bluegrass and Country with Progressive House and I have a few new elements I want to marry with Dance. On this album, I actually get to be me."
The first single is slated for release February 11, 2014. The full album will be available March 11, 2014.
SAVE THE DATE: Tuesday, February 11 is the release date for "Light Me Up feat. Luna Aura," the first single from Adrian Michaels' debut solo album "Alpha.".
This anthem marries a driving beat with heavy synths and a dirty bassline, completely in line with modern dance trends. And, with jazz/gospel chords being played by club synths, as well as clever lyrics by Luna Aura, this song is definitely as powerful as anything you would expect to hear in a main room, but with a much more musical feel!
A preview is available on the Music page of this EPK.
