In life we occasionally find things (and people) in very unexpected places. And if you are an Electronic Dance Music fan, it is in Phoenix, AZ that you find someone you might not expect--Adrian Michaels, a Producer/DJ who is becoming recognized as a top up-and-coming talent.
Barely into 2014, Michaels has already churned out multiple tracks that are getting play on college radio stations and internet broadcasts throughout the country, not to mention catching the attention of DJs around the globe.
His latest track, an absolutely MASSIVE, club remix of Jason Derulo's "Talk Dirty" is turning heads and proves without a doubt that his production skills are on par with the biggest names in the business.
"If this is a true club remix, then what’s the other garbage that filters our mainstream airways? Can’t even compare to the hand of Michaels," says Hypefresh Magazine in a recent review of the song. "Big kudos to Adrian Michaels for delivering a gut punch with this BLAP UP through the air waves."
In April, Michaels released his first solo album "Alpha." The response has been favorable from radio and fans and Summer tour dates in support of the release are currently bsing booked.
In 2013, Michaels had multiple songs in radio rotation worldwide, including "My Fight" a remix he completed for 14-year old singer Grace Lyons, "Forever" the title track from his Summer EP, "Believe" a collaboration with New York-based singer Adam Joseph, "Don't Stop Believing" a powerfully charged remix of Journey's hit song he produced with DJ Jen Jones and "I Need You" a Soulful House song he produced under the alias "Felix Pope."
Michaels also plays shows at Smashboxx, International (formerly Wild Knights) and 10,000 sq foot mega-club Maya.
In late Summer 2013, Michaels was a DJ at the Soundwave Music Festival. Other artists who performed included: Tiesto, Porter Robinson, Sultan & Shepard, Danny Avila and Audien. In addition to performing at the event, Michaels (along with DJ Knick Knack) co-produced the Progressive House anthem "Waves," which became the official song of the Festival.
Recently, Michaels was featured on the Electronic Dance Music blog OnlytheBeat.com for his remix of "This Could Be (f. David Ethan)," by DJ Knick Knack. "Adrian pumps up the energy on this one, injecting it with some serious saws that made me make something similar to the thillz face while nodding my head in approval," said OTB. "This track will make you jump."
He has also been featured in Intamission Music, Pop Vulture Magazine and Indie Minded. It's no secret and no surprise that his stock is quickly rising after a growing and impressive body of singles and remixes in 2013, including: "Panic Attack (Adrian Michaels Remix)" for British Pop Star Florrie, "I Love Barcelona (Adrian Michaels Remix)" for New York-based DJ Kindbud, "ONE" a collaboration with New York-based singer Adam Joseph and a disco-esque throwback "Be There (Adrian Michaels Remix) for singer Katy Cappella.
Michaels started producing music in 2002 and has covered all styles from Dance and Hip-Hop to Jazz and Rock. His DJ career began in 2006 after being influenced by artists including: Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty Vission, Locktown & Alexandria Prince, JJ Flores, Joey Youngman, UK Garage producers Duncan Powell and MJ Cole.

02.11.14 - Light Me Up Single Release
SAVE THE DATE: Tuesday, February 11 is the release date for "Light Me Up feat. Luna Aura," the first single from Adrian Michaels' debut solo album "Alpha.".
This anthem marries a driving beat with heavy synths and a dirty bassline, completely in line with modern dance trends. And, with jazz/gospel chords being played by club synths, as well as clever lyrics by Luna Aura, this song is definitely as powerful as anything you would expect to hear in a main room, but with a much more musical feel!
A preview is available on the Music page of this EPK.
Turnt Up EP w/ DJ Jen Jones - Release Date
Adrian Michaels is pleased to announce a release date for "Turnt Up" the EP he is releasing with production buddy DJ Jen Jones -- January 24, 2014.
"It's been a fun process working on this project with Jen," he says. "The songs have done well in the club and we are looking forward to sharing them with our fans."
Turnt Up features four songs: Don't Stop Believing (a remix of the famous Journey song), Bounce (a satirical track about twerk culture that's racking up Soundcloud plays), Pimpin' (a fun song featuring rapper Hannibal) and Hit 'em (straight speaker box-blowing peak hour goodness).
