"If Pennywise was a cover band, it would be like this. You play songs we know, but you punk rock them up!" Ted Stryker, KROQ
Attractive Nuisance is an LA-based band that puts its own spin on rock classics. The Nuisance gives a boost to hits from the 70s and 80s like Straight Up, Nothing Compares 2 U, Mandy and Sweet Caroline, and also offers hard-charging covers of more recent tunes from the Foo Fighters and the Killers. Few bands can go from Barry Manilow to Rancid, but the Nuisance pulls it off.
The Nuisance plays various locations throughout Southern California, including the Whisky, Peppermint Club, the Lighthouse Cafe, Hermosa Saloon, Universal Bar, and the North End Hollywood.
The Law Rocks judges handed Attractive Nuisance the prestigious Judge’s Choice award at the 8th annual Law Rocks Los Angeles event. The Nuisance played a high energy set, full of plunked up covers of classics like Maggie May and Take It On The Run, as well as a hard-charging Mr. Brightside, to a packed house of more than 600 attendees. The annual event, which raises funds for numerous local charities, netted more than $170,000, a Los Angeles event record.
