BIOGRAPHY
In a galaxy far, far away, Catherine Taber was destined and determined to become a princess spending her days in a realm of adventure and romance. Upon the realization that her childhood dreams of fairy tales and fantasy didn’t exist in the real world, Catherine decided if she couldn’t be a princess in real life, she’d play one on screen.
Growing up in Georgia, Catherine found herself drawn to storytelling at a young age. From Snow White and Sleeping Beauty to Alice in Wonderland and The Lord of the Rings, she loved reading stories of fantasy and science fiction. She decided to parlay her love of stories into a career that would allow her to be part of the story telling process: acting.
Catherine Taber made her feature film debut in the dramedy The Girl’s Room that garnered critical praise from industry publications. Daily Variety proclaimed her performance as "winning, empathetic and intimate." Catherine can also be seen alongside Reese Witherspoon in the romantic comedy, Just like Heaven, Curious George 2 and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the film that kicked off the series that is now in its fifth season, as well as numerous comedic and dramatic television appearances.
Catherine made her voice-acting debut playing Mission Vao in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and has never looked back. She has since portrayed memorable characters in some of the most popular franchises on the market including The X-Men, Metal Gear Solid, and Resident Evil. She portrays Vette in the widely praised Star Wars: The Old Republic as well as the young Princess Leia in the award winning Star Wars: The Force Unleashed & Force Unleashed II. Cat was nominated for a NAViGaTR for her portrayal of Penelo in “Final Fantasy 12”.
Hailed as a Geek Goddess among the sci fi and fantasy community, Catherine feels right at home in her current role as Princess Leia in the highly anticipated Star Wars: Detours produced by and starring Seth Green.
When this self-proclaimed sci-fi geek isn’t living out her childhood dreams on set, she is giving back to her community. Catherine started the organization Games For Soldiers which accepts donations of video games and comic books that she sends to troops deployed in Afghanistan. She lives in Los Angeles with her JRT, “Penelo”.
