DJ Intangibles was born (Arnold Thomas Nevels Jr.) and raised in Detroit Michigan. At the age of 16 he took an interest in DJing and has been doing it ever since. Before Arnold was DJ Intangibles he was DJ Sleepy Nevels with Shake’em Up Sound Entertainment and he made a reputation as a radio mix DJ, music producer, record label owner in Jackson Ms. As DJ Sleepy Nevels he spent 10 years on radio (9 year on 90.1FM WMPR and a short stint on 99.7 Jams WJMI Jackson Mississippi), he also ran his own record label (Shake’em up Sounds Records); he was also a signed recording artist with TVT Records in New York (Ran by Irv Gotti of Murder Inc.) where his music appeared on major motion picture sound tracks (“White Boys” and “Phat Beach”). As a recording artist with the Group Wildliffe Society he had the unique opportunity to share the stage with artist such as Too Short, Run DMC, MC Hammer, Black Street, MC Breed, Ghetto Boys, Ja Rule, Master P, Brian McKnight and a host of others.
In 1998 Arnold had a revelation that his talents were being used to contribute to a culture that was causing the deterioration of our society (especially with the youth). Later that year the LORD revealed to Arnold how his gifts (DJing, producing, song writing, concert promoting, and teaching etc.) could be used for the Kingdom of GOD and it was a wrap. 2 years later DJ Intangibles was born. Around the year 2000 DJ Intangibles formed the entertainment company Mustardseed Generation Entertainment and recently the nonprofit Mustardseed Generation Ministries. For over a decade DJ Intangibles has been a big part of helping develop the Christian Hip Hop scene in the Metro Detroit area. Starting off as a Christian DJ in Detroit wasn’t easy since it was such an undeveloped genre with very little music. To help get the scene going DJ Intangibles started producing his own dance music in order to have Detroit style music to play. He created Christian Jit techno music. He then started Teaming up with the likes of artist like Brotha Dre and KE and the hits kept coming. Their local appeal has allowed them to share the stage with artist such as Canton Jones, Da Truth, Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Flame, Ambassador, Bizzel etc. DJ Intangibles has also had the opportunity to DJ at various Churches and venue in the Detroit area which includes the Palace of Auburn Hill, The State Theater, and other states such as Georgia, Ohio, South Carolina, Florida, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, New York, TBN network, and more. He also served as Mix Coordinator and Assistant Music Director for 102.1FM "The KING" in Atlanta GA in 2020. Presently DJ Intangibles is Program Director for Holyhiphopradio.com, and Christianhiphopradio.com (over 200,000 subscribers), and he is also one of featured DJs on the "Praise Mix Down" on the Detroit Praise Network (93.5FM, 98.3FM, 99.9FM). DJ Intangibles presently resides in Orlando FL. DJ Intangibles and The Mustardseed Generation are claiming back our youth for JESUS.
