Elijah Jones & The Tenderness is a band from Nashville, TN. In 2014, Elijah Jones (The Constellations) moved to Nashville from Atlanta for a change of life and scenery. In that time, he began writing music that reflected upon his life and past experiences. Channeling his influences such as Otis Redding, Roy Orbison, and the Everly Brothers, Elijah’s songwriting began to take flight. In late 2017, with the help of his closest friends (Erik Matthijs, Nic Miller, Keanon-Keaton Payne) the music evolved and the Tenderness was formed. Combining a 60’s retro-sound and Elijah’s voice, their music tells stories of heartbreak, substance-abuse, and self-discovery. With their stripped down and simple approach, Elijah Jones & The Tenderness’ music sets the tone and brings those together for an intimate and relatable experience.
Elijah and Erik had an opportunity to sit down with Nashville music writer Music City Mike (musiccitymike.net) and do an interview. Below is a link to the interview:
