In January I had back surgery and I have been recovering nicely. As the saying goes, I am ready to get back in the proverbial saddle. Please see the schedule page for upcoming dates.
Also during my recovery, I have been able to write many new songs and tweak many old ones. Ah, yes!! A new solo CD is on the horizon, so. . . stay tuned.
As of January 2017, the Tina Terry Agency has been booking performances for Gaye Adegbalola. I can be booked solo, as a duo, or as Gaye & The Wild Rūtz. Also, through the agency, I can be booked for workshops and speaking engagements. See the performance options page.
The Tina Terry Agency can be contact via email at tina@tinaterryagency.com. Via phone at 336.255.7109. I am proud to join this great roster of blues musicians!

GAYE ADEGBALOLA AND THE WILD RUTZ
Is It Still Good To Ya?
Hot Toddy Music
Known to most of us for her years with Saffire, the Uppity Blues Women, [1984-2009,] former Virginia State Teacher of the Year Gaye Adegbalola continues to prove, with Is it Still Good To Ya? She’s one of the most inventive, creative songwriters anywhere in contemporary blues today. Adegbalola penned all the songs on the album with her new band, the Wild Rutz. Is It Still Good To Ya?
Continuing in the Saffire tradition of throwing some humor into their live shows as well as their albums, she includes funny tunes like “The Dog Was Here First,” as well as consciousness-raising tunes like “The Skittles Blues” about trigger happy policemen in Virginia and other parts of the country. With the Wild Rutz, two other fine African-American women vocalists and one Hispanic, Gloria Jackson, Tanyah Dadze and Marta Fuentes accompany her. Their sound on various tracks is reminiscent of the innovative folk and spirituals group, Sweet Honey in the Rock.
