Atlanta home grown producers Billy Wolff and Zach Christmas came together to form Illnoize for the first time in December of 2013. Both had previously spent years developing individual sounds and music prior to the formation. Their paths crossed at a typical 9 to 5 job during the week and both soon discovered the others interest and knowledge of the art known as creating music.
Billy and Zach float from heavy EDM back grounds with unique preferences in other producers. Along the way the two found a quick and ample friendship that was sparked by the same level of devotion to creating and producing uniquely fresh sounds. The past two years have proven to be eventful and full of that same level of devotion to what only Billy and Zach describe as “all we know how to do… make music.”
Their sound is no way basic or cookie cutter. Their waves project grit and filthy rhythms strung neatly together by their attention to texture and chord progression. When they look for the next track to unravel and remold, it is a tedious process of searching and replaying specific sounds or tracks a multitude of times before utilizing what slivers they need to make grand productions.Illnoize works beyond the ideals of hard time to create what they want the world to hear. Aside from 40- hour a week jobs they dedicate long nights and mornings to one of the million things you can catch them doing at any given time during office hours: talking about music, thinking about music, listening to music, and/or creating new music. It is the one true spirit behind Illnoize many producers now will not attempt to access themselves. The duo is quick to point out they are not just playing games. Both have truly inspiring work ethics dedicated to every track they drop. The confidence and natural born ability is not even half of what makes Illnoize the next scorcher to reveal itself from underneath the radar.
