Born in “the home of southern rock royalty”, Jacksonville, FL and part of a famous music family Southern Rocker Jimmie Van Zant is a household name if it comes to music. The latest of his four albums was distributed by Sony Red and he’s currently working on a new album which is to be released in 2015.

The background of Jimmie Van Zant’s music career is pure music history. It was the sudden death of his cousin Ronnie in 1977, that inspired him to work on his own music career. He later honored his cousin with “Ronnie’s song” on his very first album “Southern Comfort”, which was released in 2000. Jimmie remembers well, when Ronnie and the boys used to come over to his parents’ living room to rehearse with the band “One Percent” that eventually became “Lynyrd Skynyrd”.

Jimmie has now teamed up with Mid South Music Entertainment, based in Memphis, TN who is now handling bookings for him. They are also working on several national and overseas tours for him accompanied by other Mid South Music Entertainment acts.
