Gold and Platinum songwriter John Black Jr., releases first single “Never Give Up” from debut album My Resolution. "Never Give Up” speaks to the album’s total concept, a message that John hopes will inspire those that hear as much as he was inspired to write. As Gap Band alumni, Black is known for his hit making keyboard, arranging, and song writing, and his work with countless others in secular and gospel music. The album My Resolution combines traditional and contemporary with forward thinking lyrics. Black produces this urban contemporary inspirational project with co-production aid of son Jonathon (AKA jaiiblaqu3). Add to the mix the impeccable works of Glenn McKinney (guitar), Jonathon Black (drums and percussion), Gregg McKinney, (bass and co-production on song “He Came Through”) Stevo Mekini (bass). TJ Wilkins, Preston Harris, sons Jonathon and Alden Black, (leads and background vocals). Add, John on lead, background vocals, keys, drum programing, horn and string arrangements and you have a stellar performance.
