Kenny Price is an Urban/Top 40 artist born and raised in Philadelphia. Growing up in the streets of North Philly he was exposed to multiple cultures, and the musical styles that came from those cultures. The development of his unique style is a direct result of a lifetime of musical influence. His heaviest early influences came from hip hop and R&B music, but he also sought out music from the alternative rock & pop genres as well. By the time Kenny had reached his teen years he realized music was his calling.
As an adult, Kenny Price spent the majority of his early career as a part of two very different groups. The first of which was a street smart hip hop duo named Odd Couple, who performed locally at multiple clubs & showcases. Kenny moved on to be front man of the hip hop/rock band All Crazy. As a part of All Crazy Kenny & his band performed up and down the east coast from Boston to North Carolina. After 6 years, 2 albums, and multiple member changes, the group decided to go their separate ways.
After years in a group and band Kenny decided to pursue a solo career where he could maintain full creative control of his music's direction. He teamed up with production/DJ duo Dre and Biscuit of Street Orchestra. Since then Kenny has been writing, recording and performing the type of music he truly loves. His new musical style is a total reflection of who Kenny Price is as an individual. His high energy delivery & top 40 sound has been compared to those of Pitbull and Flo Rida.
Kenny released his debut single as a solo artist on iTunes. The song simply entitled 'Dance' features songstress Katrina Gibson over a Street Orchestra produced track that is sure to get the club moving. 'Dance' has already been featured on multiple music blogs. In the meantime Kenny continues to record new music, perform around the tri-state area while networking with other solo artists and DJs. Look out for his EP titled 'The Price Iz Right' slated to drop later this year.
