Born 21st December 1985,Cape Town South Africa. Raised by parents Olga and Dennis Maluka on the Cape flats in a neighbourhood called Bishop Lavis. Leroy Maluka started playing football at the age of 7 at a local football club in Bishop Lavis called Island Rovers.Leroy as a junior played at both former professional football clubs Hellenic and Cape Town Spurs. It's at Hellenic where Leroy developed into a more matured footballer being part of the Hellenic Football Academy. Leroy Maluka was rated as one of the best passes of the ball by former Professional footballer and South African football legend Joey Lawrence. Leroy Maluka played Second division football in South Africa for 3 years before signing for Professional football club Ikapa Sporting F.C in the National first division(N.F.D). Maluka spent 3 years at Ikapa Sporting F.C after deciding to move to Finland. Leroy Maluka is also the brother of artist Mustafa Maluka.
