When Lucas sings about a truck in a field on a summer night, riding a tractor or climbing up in a hunting stand, it is not just a line in a song; it is a glimpse of his life. Lucas grew up on a poultry and cattle farm in Anson County, North Carolina, in a small southern town that borders South Carolina.
Lucas has always loved music and began playing the piano at the age of 8. Within a few short months of piano lessons, Lucas was playing compositions by Mozart and Beethoven. It was evident to everyone who knew him that he had an exceptional gift for music. Soon after, he taught himself how to play the electric guitar and began singing, writing and recording songs.
By the age of 16, Lucas was a member of a band, performing at local festivals and participating in various competitions. Lucas primarily focuses his attention on country music and southern rock, however, he has a gift for embracing all genres and because of his innate talent, has the ability to travel in all music circles. He is an active member of his church choir and has performed some of his original Christian songs during worship services.
Lucas is a singer, song writer and composer. Lucas and co-writer, Kyle Leary, have written songs that country music enthusiasts are sure to love. Both Lucas and Kyle are firmly rooted in southern tradition and enjoy writing songs that are a true reflection of the American Spirit. They joined forces to write this collection of country/southern rock songs and their music is quickly gaining popularity. Lucas currently plays and records all background music, background vocals and lead vocals for the tracks on the album.
Lucas graduated from Anson County Early College High School in 2011 and is a certified Emergency Management Technician. When Lucas is not writing and recording music with his friend, Kyle Leary, he attends college and works for the local Emergency Management Service and Rescue Squad. He is nearing completion of his education at Stanly Community College where he will obtain his Paramedic Certification.
