Singer/songwriter Rebekah Del Rio, as seen in David Lynch’s “Mulholland Drive”, is well known for her unique style which is perhaps best represented in her signature song, the wrenchingly beautiful ballad “Llorando”, a Spanish-language version of Roy Orbison’s “Crying,”
On the strength of that song, Rebekah moved to Nashville where she was signed to Irving Azoff’s label, Giant Records. Rebekah opened for Rod Stewart at the 25th Annual WEA convention, and cut her first album, titled “Nobody’s Angel.” The single shot up to #2 in Holland without any promotion.
Just before Rebekah moved back to Los Angeles, David Lynch cast her as herself in his nightmarish hymn to L.A., “Mullholland Drive”. Her noteworthy performance has been universally praised as “a dazzling star turn,” by John Powers in the L.A. Weekly, to “uniquely twisted,” and “utterly enthralling,” by Gregory Weinkauf from the New York Times.
Rebekah has written a song with Mr. Lynch which is included in her new album Love Hurts ♥ Love Heals.
Ms. Del Rio was received with a standing ovation at the 12th Annual Rainforest Foundation Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall after singing “Llorando” a capella. She was later joined in this concert by Sting, Sir Elton John, & James Taylor.
Ms. Del Rio’s talents are presented in award winning films such as, “Mulholland Drive“, “Southland Tales”, “Sin City” & the TV shows, Prison Break, King of the Hill & Young & The Restless.
The amazing opera group, Il Divo and Rebekah recorded her signature song “Llorando” for the groups album Wicked Game, released in the fall of 2011. Llorando helped that record receive Certified GOLD status in Canada and Australia.
Ms. Del Rio has collaborated with Christina Aguilera’s Award Winning Producer/Songwriter, Heather Holley along with her New York based production team that includes Dina Fanai, & cellist virtuoso, Dave Eggar, with the release of her much anticipated new album “Love Hurts ♥ Love Heals”.
“Love Hurts ♥ Love Heals” is an 11 song album dedicated to Rebekah’s late son, Phillip Craig DeMars, who lost his 4 year battle with cancer in 2009. This album is about the duality of amor. 11 cinematic tracks that will leave you feeling like you’ve just witnessed the best epic movie of all time. Each song thrills you and pulls at your heart strings. This is the ultimate movie soundtrack. The film? Life!
Released on the day of conscious awareness, 11/11/11. This album will surely move your soul into a higher frequency.
Rebekah is working on a Latin Big Band tribute album to the late, great Cuban composer, Sergio de Karlo. Recorded at the world famous Ocean Way Studio. Soon to be released.

April 1, 2015 Reviews for Rebekah’s performance at the Ace Theater
“The Music of David Lynch”
LA Weekly, LP by : Katie Bain
All of this star power, however was no match for Rebekah Del Rio, whom Lynch fans
will remember as the singer in the iconic theater scene from Mulholland Drive. Del
Rio did a goosebumps-inducing, a capella rendition of “Llorando,” the same song she
performs in the movie. It was stunning, and aroused the first standing ovation of the
evening. A man in the audience who dared speak during the performance got
aggressively shushed….
Rolling Stone by BY TIM GRIERSON
But the night’s first standing ovation went to Rebekah Del Rio, who became a cult figure after her stunning rendition of “Llorando” in Mulholland Drive. Effortlessly turning the venue into her own Club Silencio, Del Rio sang the song a cappella with the same aching purity as she brought to Lynch’s 2001 film.
