Samantha Scarlette is an Alternative Rock singer/song writer & film music supervisor, originally from Saddle River, NJ, and she released a 7 track EP last November. Five of the tracks on the EP were produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, The 69 Eyes, Amorphis, Apocolyptica) and we are reviewing that very EP here. I have known about this artist for a wee while now, and she is rather good. The album kicks off with the catchy and bouncy 'These Violent Delights', possibly one of the best tracks from the CD. Next up 'Forgive Sins (From Dusk Til Dawn)' is another catchy number, showcasing Samantha's poppy vocal style. Thereafter, the listener is treated to 5 further foot tapping radio friendly numbers. My copy however, has a digital only bonus track, that being the number 'Fallen Star', released as a free download single in February 2014, accompanied by a music video.
