Swindle Boys integrate rock, pop, arena, and new wave sounds to create larger than life music. In 2013, brothers Joey and Matt Swindle welcomed new members Josh Brown and Chance Cochran, abandoning their former duo in pursuit of a fuller, more exciting sound.
With Swindle Boys starting anew, they are quickly gaining ground. Their latest EP “Motion," released Dec 2013, has been a major success both critically and commercially. Their live shows are quickly becoming "must see" affairs to the folks in the DFW area.
The boys have recently announced yet another output of new recordings. They will be releasing a single per month for several months beginning July 1, 2014. The first song is titled "Comeback."
Swindle Boys’ Motion: Major Balls
On Swindle Boys’ new, sophomore recording, the EP Motion, the huge choruses, driving rhythms, and frontman Joey Swindle’s breathy, powerful, heart-on-his-sleeve vocals immediately call to mind Kings of Leon.
But wait. What’s up with those brightly yawning synths in the background and those swishy, danceable beats? They’re really out of left field. They’re also really cool.
These pop flourishes, in their elegant restraint, separate Motion slightly from anything you might have heard before, bespeaking a focused, fully formed, highly idiosyncratic songwriting team at work. Think: Kings of Leon meets The Killers. (Killers of Leon?)

Lone Star Sounds: New music from Swindle Boys and More
Swindle Boys, ‘Motion’
"On their latest EP, Swindle Boys have dispensed with the country-rock impulses found on last year’s One and Three and embraced an anthemic, New Wave sensibility. Brothers Joey and Matthew Swindle have expanded the band to include Josh Smith and Chance Cochran, so the sonic makeover for the Fort Worth foursome makes sense. Swindle Boys, who teamed with producer Alex Gerst for the five-track collection, swing for the fences from the opener, No Other Love, a surging, glittering stunner. The bigger, bolder style suits Swindle Boys, who sound ready to devour stadiums around the world..."

"Fort Worth’s Swindle Boys celebrate their home state of Arkansas with “The Most Natural of States,” toning down their signature arena-rocking bombast for a haunting bit of regional pride marked by moody, echoing guitar and touching harmonies..." (Read More)
"With arena rock, country, gospel, and ’80s synth pop all influencing their music, The Swindle Boys didn’t have a conscious plan for what they wanted One and Three to sound like. Both wanted to make music with an audience in mind –– nothing too hipsterishly cryptic or poetically self-indulgent was allowed –– and both aimed for a sound that was epic, anthemic, and stirring. They achieved it..." (Read More)
FORT WORTH WEEKLY (by Jimmy Fowler) http://www.fwweekly.com/2012/11/07/no-swindlin-brothers/

"Fort Worth-based brothers Joey and Matthew Swindle have one of those ready-made back stories the music press devours with a spoon. Raised in an Arkansas household of six children, where the only music they were exposed to was contemporary Christian, the Swindles have retained that sense of expansive spirituality, while embracing a country-rock sound tailor-made for enormous arenas. The pair's debut LP, One and Three, was released in March, and packs a big punch -- songs like For Tonight explode out of the speakers, conjuring visions of racing toward an endless horizon..."
