I'm mostly influenced by Jason Mraz/One Republic/The Script but just as art is in the eye of the beholder, music is in the ear of the listener. It's really all dependent upon what you feel when you listen, no words will help that. ~ Taylor
LOUISIANA-BRED ACOUSTIC SINGER/SONGWRITER WITH SOUL
2010 AMERICA’S GOT TALENT TOP TEN FINALIST
Five years and many experiences later...the 23-year-old singer/songwriter is beginning to sink his teeth into success as an independent artist.
In 2011, Taylor released his first EP, Head Over Feeling, which debuted in the top 40 of the iTunes album chart selling over 10,000 singles. He has a dedicated, growing fanbase including over 13,000 Twitter followers and 11,000 Facebook fans. The music video for Head Over Feeling was featured on Vevo’s home page and generated 100,000 views in one day and currently has over 250,000 views on YouTube. It also received heavy TV rotation on Canada’s Family Channel.
In the spring of 2013, Taylor completed his second tour as direct support for Disney’s R5 band for 2 1/2 months throughout the U.S. and Canada. After the tour, he successfully funded a $26,000 Kickstarter campaign to record his first full-length record titled Do What You Want To. He wrote and recorded with Grammy-winning producers and songwriters to craft the album which was released on December 2nd, 2013 and debuted at #6 on the iTunes album chart. It also garnered generous airplay on over 120 college radio stations.
In January of last year, after the success of the Head Over Feeling video, Taylor filmed his second video for the album title track Do What You Want To. This video also aired generously on the Family Channel. As a thank you, Taylor embarked on a 6 month/130 show tour across the US & Canada to play in the homes of fans that donated to the Kickstarter campaign.
In October, with his fans in mind, he created a unique touring experience called The Hotel Party Tour modeled after the music video. The first leg of the tour lasted 12 weeks. It was such a success that after spending 2 months in Nashville writing and recording new music, he continued with an 8-week leg of the Hotel Party Tour in the spring. He is currently in the studio writing and recording demos for his next album.
