LaToya Jones-Herbert was born in the Bronx, NY in August of 1986 to Clarence Jones and Josy Rey-Jones. LaToya has always been a singer by gifting but at the age of 20 she began effectively ministering through music as a praise & worship leader ushering in the presence of God where ever she goes while in pursuit dream career as a signed artist, singing to the honor and glory of God. She is an anointed Youth Pastor appointed by her Bishop and father, Dr. Clarence Jones who recognized the call of God on her life from a young age. LaToya shares the gospel through song and preached word as the Lord leads her. LaToya is currently a professor at Bronx Deliverance Bible Institute which is the seminary where she completed the bachelor course in theology and she now teaches the Evangelism course of study. She is dedicated to the call of God on her life and loves the Lord with all her heart. LaToya is married to the love of her life, Neville (Anthony) Herbert who is also her Music Manager and Partner in the youth ministry.
Singing/ Songwriter, “Toya Jones” was blessed with the opportunity to sing along with one of her favorite artists Kim Burrell in the summer of 2009 in the Bronx, NY where Ms. Burrell spoke words of life and encouragement into her life. As an upcoming psalmist Toya’s desire is to change the face of gospel music and to create music that not only tells of God’s delivering power but that also deals with the issues of life that people shy away from. Issues like hypocrisy, relationships, sexual habits, depression, scandals etc. and how to properly deal with them. Toya released her first EP entitled “Fresh Wind” in 2010 with 6 songs she selected from her extensive collections of songs written and composed by her. After pursuing ministry full force as a minister and getting married Toya decided it was time to release a full project so in 2012 she began writing and recording songs for her latest album release entitled “Victorious” which are songs inspired by God written from her life experiences.
Toya believes that gospel music should be geared towards the transformation and deliverance of souls and if given the opportunity she knows that the music God has laid on her heart will transform this generation and many to come.
"In these last days the True Levites (the set apart ones) must take there place and begin to do what they were created to do." Toya Jones
