The tale of Volcano Rabbit begins in a truly ghastly location - a collapsing rehearsal space in the dark shadows of Portland, ME, located just behind the bus station. It was the perfect location for a group of near strangers to come together and combine their unique talents in an effort to keep the spirit of punk alive. Drawing influences from bands such as The Replacements, Titus Andronicus, and Bomb The Music Industry!, the band has developed a sound that is loud yet intricate, wild yet accessible, and most importantly - full of heart and endless passion. Their story has barely begun, but it is certain to be an exciting one that is not to be overlooked.
Keep your eyes and ears open for their soon-to-be released debut record. It has taken its time materializing, but it will be well worth every second of the wait.

So today we've officially put out a little demo package release, entitled "The Ugly, Yella, No-Good Demos". You can hear two out of the three tracks in our music section of this site or you can hear it in its entirety at volcanorabbit.bandcamp.com. You can also download it for free, so you can officially take us with you when you walk your dog or go grocery shopping or whatever it is you people do. We're pretty keen on these songs, so hopefully they will quench your VR thirst until we put out an official release.
Til' next time, Volcano Rabbit
Welcome to the official Volcano Rabbit EPK! It is a medium that has been relatively untouched so far since we've started, but is now to become a very integral part of the VR information-overload experience. There's certainly a lot to catch up on, but we'd rather focus on the present and the future. Thus, we'll start by simply informing you of three significant updates in our recent devolopement.
1) NEW SHOWS! Not a tremendous amount of them, but they're NEW! If you check our schedule, you can see some recently added dates in Connecticut, Boston, and Portland. Hopefully these will suffice for now, but you can expect many more to be added soon.
2) NEW DEMO! We've been doing some super secret recording lately and while nothing is entirely finished yet, you can now see in our music page that we've added a rough version of one of the tracks. More on that matter soon.
3) PUNK'S NOT DEAD! This has nothing to do with us. We're just really happy about it and trying to spread the word.
