Jorge Barnet Guitar/
Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, as the child of immigrant Catalan parents, Jorge Barnet began his interest in music with plucked strings instruments: the “cuatro” (a Venezuelan four strings instrument) and the classical guitar. Later, influenced by rock, R&B, Blues and Jazz during his teen years, he embraced the electric guitar too. Since 2015, after a long hiatus thru Venezuela, Colombia, Netherland Antilles, Portugal, Spain, Norway and UK, Jorge Barnet founds himself settling down in Miami, playing Jazz guitar. Majored in Electronic Music from Berklee College of Music Class of 81, he splits its time between teaching privately and performing. His recordings of his compositions and his playing at Kandra Studios, Caracas Venezuela were appraised by Mike Varney, owner of Shrapnel Records in his Guitar Player Magazine column “Spotlight”, October, 1985.
José R. Duque Drums, Percussion/
From Caracas, Venezuela. Graduated from Berklee College of Music. Started his music studies in Venezuela at Escuela de Musica ARS NOVA, and privately with Maestro Gerry Weil. Has produced and recorded 10 original albums, scored music for an independent film in Spain. Recorded with Colin Edwin, bassist of Porcupine Tree, and with Randy Armstrong World Ensemble. Has recorded/Performed with , TJ Wheeler, Sharon Jones, GED trio, Bacalao Men, Pablo Dagnino, Eric & The Jazzers, Camel Toe Band, Sara es Rara, Omayra Amaya, and many more. Currently resides in Miami, where he divides his time between teaching and performing.
Javier Espinoza Bass/
From Merida, Venezuela. Started his musical studies at the Jose Angel Lamas Music School in Barinas on the Mandolin. Upon moving to Merida, he picked up the bass, which he studied on his own then with Luis Cardenas, Javier Alarcon, Pablo Gil. He’s an apt player that can adapt to any musical style. He moved to Caracas thanks to an scholarship at the “Taller de JAZZ de Caracas” and later on at SOUZA LIMA, in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Has participated in many recordings, and performances around many countries such as Colombia, Spain and France. He currently lives in Miami where he is an active performer in many styles.
