Side Effect is a 4-piece pop punk band hailing from Hollywood, California. The story of the band starts in 2010 with Polish native "Kapri” abandoned her hometown of Lublin in Eastern Poland to pursue her childhood dreams in the “city of angels.” Kapri took the leap of faith and attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood where she perfected her vocal performance and gained the knowledge to compete in the music industry. While attending Musicians Institute, Kapri met musicians that shared her same vision and passion. The current lineup includes: guitarist Hisako Ozawa, Jim Shaw on bass and John McLucas on drums. Their upcoming EP “Another Last Goodbye”, co-produced by Jokull Jonsson (Evening Guests), was released on March 28th 2014. With its sassy attitude and raw rock flavor, “Another Last Goodbye” is a collection of messages inspired by a real life story. The story, as so many others before, is about a girl in love and a guy who, well, was not. The EP takes us on the journey from the very first time they met (“[Don’t Act Like You Don’t Know That This Is] About You”; “Get It Right”), throughout the relationship (“Jade Green Eyes”; “I Wish You Were Here”), to it’s very end (“92 Yesterdays”). The last track on the record, “Ships In A Bottle” is a rock cover of original singer/songwriter ballad, written and performed by singer/songwriter/producer Butch Walker.

Rock On The Range Battle Of The Bands

I have a great news for those of you who missed it: we are playing Rock On The Range Battle Of The Bands at the Dragonfly in Hollywood on the May 14th! Hey guys,
i have some exciting news for you. Yesterday I took a not-so-little trip almost 150 miles North of LA to shoot a photo for the "Another Last Goodbye" EP cover with my friend Keaton from Ketamine Photoworks. We found a perfect spot a couple weeks ago, in the Mojave Desert and had a great shoot over there. I can't really give away too many details, but here is a sneak peek from the said desert.
