Ashthon Jones came into this world with musical roots strong within her family and remembered her first musical beginnings, singing her heart out in church. She received her early training when she would make runs to Valdosta, Georgia to stay with her cousins. “The Bellamy’s are a huge host of first cousins, they are all musically talented, and so that’s where I get my singing from”, states Ashthon. Some of her musical influences are the Clark Sisters, Mary Mary, Monica, Destiny’s Child, and Mary J. Blige. “I always looked up to Mary J in a special way, because she is living proof of what having longevity in the music business looks like.” For 6 years Ashthon had been working on her singing career in Nashville when she finally landed her first publishing deal with a major publishing company at the ripe age of 19. Little did she know this would lead into many more blessings. All the while, Ashthon always kept up with American Idol and wanted to audition from day one. That fateful day came when her mother called her and told her it was her time. With out a second thought, Ashthon quit her job and went to the audition. Wearing number 8838 she went in front of Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez whom unanimously voted her in. SHE WAS GOING TO HOLLYWOOD! She made it into the FINALS and has never looked back. From an IDOL WORLD TOUR and a myriad of interviews from “LIVE with Regis & Kelly” to “Entertainment Tonight” and “MTV News”, Ashthon has experienced what others only dream of. With her eye on the prize, Ashthon is already giving back early in her career by recording a song on First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Song for a Healthier America” hip-hop album, which has been featured on GRAMMY.com’s “Exclusive First Listen”. Her performance at the album release at Symphony Space in New York City has now earned her the opportunity to tour with Michelle Obama’s nationwide campaign. She has also been featured in other well recognized projects such as Lacrae’s GRAMMY winning album with Big KRIT on the single, “Mayday”, as well as Big KRIT’s new single “Good 2Gether”. Released by Def Jam it has been rising in the charts with enormous praise for Ashthon’s vocal abilities.
More recently Ashthon will be performing on a segment of BRAVO Networks HIT television series “Married to Medicine” which is being received by network management with wide acclaim. Ashthon has built a history. A story that will soon be told. Ashthon Jones is poised and positioned for greatness.

Close to a year after releasing his major label debut, "Live from the Underground," Big K.R.I.T. returns with his sixth mixtape, "King Remembered In Time."
With the exception of the 9th Wonder-produced song, "Life Is a Gamble," the 17-song effort is produced entirely by K.R.I.T. "King Remembered In Time," which is what the rapper's stage name stands for, is laced with introspective rhymes laid over a bed of soulful soundscapes.
The mixtape features Bun B, Ashthon Jones, Future, Trinidad James, Big Sant, Wiz Khalifa, Smoke DZA, BJ The Chicago Kid and samples James Blake's "The Wilhelm Scream" on "REM."
"It’s a blessing to drop another body of music that reflects my growth as a musician and artist,” K.R.I.T. said. "I’m thankful for all the support I’ve received over the years. It’s quality over quantity. 4eva N A day and Multi till the sun die. God bless."
K.R.I.T. is sure to perform cuts from his mixtape while on his West Coast tour. The tour kicks off on May 24 in Tempe, AZ and wraps up in Seattle on June 1. Fans can find tickets on K.R.I.T.'s official site.
