The Button Nose Kidz were designed to reach and impact children from K-6th grade and guide them in the spirit of Anti Bullying and Diversity. The Button Nose Kidz also teach an educational lesson plan thats makes learning fun and easy for that age group. The idea to create music, life sized characters and curriculum came from its founder J'Mel Dowdell. Through music, theater and art he has developed a way to reach children that yields an amazing result. Since its inception in 2012, the theatrical show has experienced an awesome growth. It has been performed within the elementary schools as well as sponsored by private businesses for events. It is gratifying to see the reaction of the children when these characters enter the room. Trying to understand the nature of the adversities our children face in the learning process gives us the power to create change in that process. The Button Nose Kidz curriculum makes schools safer. At home, it directs the mind of the child to learning and loving. In the future we hope to experience the necessary growth to reach more children and assist learning institutions as well as parents in raising a child with wholesome values and the inspiration to learn.
