What an amazing night at the Blind Beggar's Country Showcase! The band hosted our friends & fans to help benefit the Calgary Homeless Foundation!

The event was captured & Streamed Live on FaceBook / Instagram by our close friends at GO Live/ New Wave media & alot of funds were raised & big fun was had by all in attendance!!

The Band is excited to announce the continuation of their relationship with The Calgary Homeless Foundation after a 2019 fundraising donation of just over $2K.

The band has been back in the studio recording two brand new songs! We're also sheduled for a 3rd song in January.

The Band is excited to share A Day in the Country, a promoting our favorite sport of Chuckwagon racing!! "it's a very upbeat, driving song with great lyrics surrounding the day in the life of a Chuckwagon driver on a Race weekend" says guitarist Sandy McRae. "As this project was coming together & being around the Calgary Stampede for many years, it also made sense to have the legendary announcer Joe Carburys audio as part of the song & we we're thrilled that the Carbury Family was Honored to have Dad Joe add his special brand of race calling" McRae says

The Band is planning to provide proceeds from the Online sales of the song to The Calgary Homeless Foundation so go to your favorite streaming service & help the Band help many others!!

The band has recieved the first draft of their brand NEW Chuck Wagon racing Theme song from Evergreen Studio's today! Expect full release within 30 days plus some exciting, related Partnership announcements as well! 

The band is currently negotiating with several Corporate entites in and around Calgary which will be exciting for both the Band & it's fans... Stay tuned! 

The Band was back in the studio over two weekends in March to record 2 new songs! 1 more weekend is planned in April to finish off the set & we're truly excited to share these great Alberta Country songs with you!

After a fun filled night at The Hideout - Eats & Beats in South Calgary entertaining a full house, the Band was thrilled to announce that $2725.00 of proceeds raised from our CD Release Party will be donated to Kidpsport Calgary & Area.

The band was invited to be on the Stations "Made in Alberta" Segment. We had an awesome time being interviewed & talking about the New album / CD release party & playing some acoustic songs!

It was a really fun night with the very talented Sarah Scott!!

The Band had big plans to release our next CD on November 10th @ The Hideout in SW Calgary!

We've once again partner with our dear friends @ Kidsport Calgary with proceeds from Ticket Sales, Auction Items & CD Sales/Band Merchadise going towards the Charity.

Don Wilson Joins BTB as a Full- time Rythm Guitarist.

Don started playing music at 6 years old learning his craft on the organ in Regina. At 11 he shifted his focus to drums. When he realized it’s hard to write music with only a drum kit (although he plans to one day) he picked up a guitar, learned what a power chord was and began to teach himself how to play. He has written many songs in different musical styles over the years.

After going to school in Vancouver in 2007 to take an Audio Engineering and Music Production course Don came back to Calgary in 2008 and he found great fun doing sound and playing in front of different crowds. He began doing sound then drumming for Claymore, a Celtic band and playing in pubs and Celtic festivals across the western provinces and then he fronted his own original music rock band Piranhacat with BTB drummer Bartek Chlebowski for a few years before joining BTB himself as a rhythm guitarist, part-time in 2011. He then returned to Regina for 3 years in 2014 to see what else life had in store for him. He has now returned and is back playing and having fun and is grateful for a full-time role with BTB.

His motto is to always think of something, never of nothing, but acknowledge everything.

He brings experience, fun and great musicality to the band and will make an awesome addition!

It’s the announcement you’ve been waiting for, to hear who will be featured on our closing weekend, this April 15th & 16th at the 9th annual Fernival Festival, the biggest free outdoor concert in the Canadian Rockies!

Kicking our Saturday off will be the Backroad Traveler Band! This Calgary based band is well known for putting on a high energy show in bars and at festivals including the Calgary Stampede. They’ll be bringing us the classic rock we all love to hear at Fernival, check them out rocking our plaza with covers by bands such as Tragically Hip, Tom Petty, ZZ Top, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Kid Rock, Bryan Adams, John Cougar, Rolling Stones and even more!

After the Backroad Traveler Band wraps up ...their set get ready for a DJ to keep the Fernie stoke going throughout the afternoon, Skratch Bastid! Over the past 15 years, Canada’s own Skratch Bastid has been spreading his skills and name around the world, one sweaty crowd at a time. Come check him out playing from our big stage in the plaza and get those bodies moving!

Wrapping our day up will be an epic performance by Wide Mouth Mason! Known for putting on exceptionally crowd-pleasing shows, these critically-acclaimed musicians will be playing hits from their 20-year career, during which they have toured the world and built fan-bases throughout North America, Europe and even China. Get ready to be blown away as Wide Mouth Mason’s live performances are not easily described or captured; they need to be experienced!
Don’t go home yet! NEW for this year’s Fernival festival is the addition of Sunday Funday, featuring another free Fernival concert by BC/DC in the afternoon at our big stage in the plaza. Give a rock and roll salute with this high energy, legendary live show that is sure to leave your ears ringing (in the best rock and roll way possible).
