Bella Veronica was born to deaf immigrants from Nicaragua and Puerto Rico. “I always thought, the enemy took my mom’s voice because he knew that God was going to give me the ability to sing.” Though Bella was conceived in Manhattan, NY, she would quickly learn to call many places home as she moved to different areas throughout the years. Each move was associated to various types of trauma within her family. There was a toxicity that turned into abuse, neglect and resentment.
At the young age 17, Bella became a mom; a journey that she would experience in Arizona, more than 2100 miles from her mother in Pennsylvania. Bella would eventually move to Pennsylvania. With 3 kids and a family of her own, she was looking for purpose. Bella obtained her Associates in Human Services but that achievement wasn’t as fulfilling as she expected.
Bella found herself going back to church, with the intention of getting to know God. God gave her the vision for ‘Momday’. ‘Momday’ is a women’s ministry that encourages, uplifts and pours into women. The goal for ‘Momday’ is to help women understand who they are in Christ. Despite this mission, Bella wasn’t living up to the value that the Lord had for her. So, she took a leap of faith.
Bella decided to move on from the relationship and took a firm stand in trusting God. The move came with its own hardships but also came with a group of believers that showed her the love of Christ. Bella reunited with her passion for music and released her first single “Many Nights’. ‘Many Nights’ captures the tears she shed as she was crying out to the Lord and the rainbow that ensued as her faith grew.
Bella Veronica is a daughter of deaf immigrants. A mother of three incredible boys. A worshipper of the Lord. But most importantly a daughter of the Most High who has been redeemed, restored and called!
