Surrounded by a squad of peers who are soon to be successful breakout rappers in their own respective rights, Bizal McLoud finds there is no comparison between himself and his peers.
Bizal McLoud has already found some success in carving out his own identity by creating a niche style of hipster, cool kid rap, gangster rap with features and videos with the likes of Pizzle, King Monte Carlo, Ricky Phontaine, and NuMoney just to name few. As an independent artist, Bizal has partnered his production company (Wise Owl Music Group)with Slaughter House Ent to release his first EP titled “Blood Kush: The Collective", which has been reviewed by hard-hitting rap enthusiasts and critics alike. Every time Bizal McLoud drops a new song, video or mix tape, its well received, most notably with his recently released singles "Check Up", "I'm a boss", and "Good Cook". He attributes his success to a mature outlook on life, due to growing up in the reality that any day could be your last on the war comparable streets of Chicago.
Looking forward from where he came from, Bizal McLoud says that his driving force in his life is his three daughters and four sons who shows him a higher purpose for his life than hanging out on the block and possibly getting locked up or dying. This fall he is set to release "The Life + Times Of Big Bizal" which will both break down musical barriers for rappers from Milwaukee as well as personal milestones he set for himself.
1. Can you tell us who you are and where you are repping in the Midwest?
I’m Bizal McLoud and I'm repping Bird Flu Entertainment out of Milwaukee Wisconsin.
2. At what age did you start rapping and how did you get involved?
I started rapping around 10 or 11. My sister used to sing SWV songs with her friends and I've always wanted to entertain with rhyme. I had asked her to write me a rap and ever since then I've been writing for myself and as time goes on I've gotten better.
3. Who was one of your favorite artists growing up?
Growing up Mystikal was always my favorite artist. I used to only buy NOLIMIT Cd's because it said featuring Mystikal on the bottom. He always had very entertaining albums and features.
4. What has been one of your major come ups in your career and tell us how you feel about it?
The Biggest come up to date would be joining forces with my partner Wavy Davey to start and operate Bird Flu Entertainment. I feel great about it because we have 100 % control over our situation.
5. What do you think keeps you doing music?
A lot of people use the term “supporter” and I appreciate the supporters. I have great friends that'll support anything I do. I but my Fans keep me going.
6. Describe your style, flow and sound compared to the rest of the kats doing music?
I think I've got an original sound! My south dialect kinda separates me from the rest, I think I have a way with words….lol.
7. What do you think about the Milwaukee music scene and how has that impacted your music career.
The Milwaukee music scene is full of great supporters, but we don't have any big names to piggyback off of, so I'm trying to put myself in a position to put on for the city.
8. What are you currently working as far as music and shows?
Currently we have a mixtape release party scheduled for 10/23 at Club Timbuktu in Milwaukee, Wi. We'll be releasing Da BIZness. We wanna see what type of reception we get so we can get a date for Da BIZness II.
9. What can your fans and supporters look forward from you this coming year?
My Fans can look forward to growth and more enjoyable music. Next year is gonna be a big year for Bird Flu Entertainment.
10. Who has been your biggest inspiration through your journey and why?
All my og homies that used to just listen to me fooling around all the time, to actually see them get entertained by this project has been a big inspiration.
11. If you could describe yourself in one word what would it be?
