All in all with this release, you're getting retro-fun '70s heritage style, the mystique of the "Devil Diver" moniker, dive watch depth resistance, “flyer” GMT functionality, and a few varied color palette options to choose from – all in sub-$2,000 territory.It can be difficult to evaluate these new brands; to be blunt, it's hard to know if they'll be around in five years. Even if the watch is good, these need to support actual, money-making businesses. It's with these caveats we introduce one of these funky new watches: The Amida Digitrend.

If you want a little more context for these watches and want to get Biver's personal take on each, I highly recommend you check that out too.Last year, Tag Heuer brought us the Carrera Dato in green, but besides a blue option in the catalog already, this is one of the first tri-counter Carrera Chronographs with a colorful dial, and I like it quite a bit. Of all the colors they could have chosen, this is maybe both the most surprising and – now that I've seen it – the most attractive.
