FINN KAPPE, the FK in FK6, lays down a weave of music that is both thought provoking and gets you moving. He recorded the well-crafted tunes of Rain’s About To Come, his solo project, and assembled some of the finest musicians for the FK6 Band. As lead vocalist and guitarist, Finn brings the excitement of a true professional as FK6 stirs up the magic that sends you to a place you’ll want to return to.
JULIE TRUHER, Beauty, power and artistry are a few words that come to mind for this musical siren. As a jazz singer on the Westside of Los Angeles, Julie adds her dynamic lead vocals and perfectly blended harmonies to the FK6 Band. She also contributes to the material that the band presents. From smoky jazz licks to contemporary harmony, she delivers a sensual force to the Band and is a joy to watch whether she is singing or just grooving to the music.
SCOTT HITCHINGS, "There's something going on here!" says Scott. He has travelled the world with The Supremes, Temptations, performed stateside shows with Jefferson Starship, War, Gap Band, and more. Scott holds the post as our keyboard player adding expert rhythm playing and background vocals to the mix. He is also an educator, a composer and cpa. More importantly he rocks, is fun to play with, and has endless energy for the music.
DAVID BROWN loves the artistic process and the wondrous variety of ways of sharing it. His favorite tools are the human voice and the bass guitar- an instrument capable of driving the groove or tapping out fascinating rhythm. Whether playing with large ensembles or small combos & solos, David is a singular musician and lives to explore the infinite opportunities of artistic expression.
MARK PULTORAK may look like a laid back hippy but don’t let his pony tail fool you. He is a doctor of drumology from Jersey capable of driving ‘4 on the floor’ beats with heavy hand and foot. On jazzier numbers and ballads, his agility, intuition and light touch is remarkable while his familiarity with ever more sophisticated world beats and rhythms has FK6 wanting to test his limits.
