“HoneyB”
As the Carolinas enjoy its rightful place as a hotbed for chart-topping talent, perhaps no artist has positioned themselves more to join the multiplatinum ranks of fellow TarHeel superstars, such as “DaBaby” and “Fantasia Barrino” than Charlotte’s own pop/hip-hop sensation, the to-die-for…“HoneyB.”
A refreshing all-around talent, “HoneyB” is a true, quadruple threat excelling as a breath-taking singer, jaw dropping MC, highly skilled performer and next level songwriter. “HoneyB” has already put in the work of an artist two to three times her senior by logging an incredible “170” show performances and counting of which she’s shared the stage with countless industry superstars to include: “Lil Baby,” “Rich Homie Quan”, “Dipset” and “Lul Durk” to name a few. However, her national break would come courtesy of We TV’s #1 hit show “Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta.”
Born Maria Bianka Mercedez Cureton P/K/A “HoneyB” in Charlotte, North Carolina, she is a beautiful blend of “Mexican/French” compliments of her mother, Mrs. Marisela Fabiola Craig, a long time business woman who also dubs as her manager and “African-American” thanks to her father, long time business man Mr. Brian Raynard Cureton.
A bonafide living miracle “HoneyB” is the epitome of a fighter having overcome a “collapsed lung” on two different occasions, “chronic asthma” and numerous bouts with “pneumonia” that required several lengthy hospital stays all before the tender age of ten years old. Motivated by greatness, she counts music icons: “Missy Elliott,” “Tupac Shakur,” “Queen Latifah,” “Lil Kim,” “Beyonce,” “JLo,” “Madonna,” “Christina Aguilera,” “Adele,” “Ariana Grande,” “Ed Sheehan,” “Michael Jackson,” “Chris Brown,” “Drake,” and the late great “Selena” as her biggest musical influences.
Bullied through high school explains her tireless efforts to bring mass attention to those suffering from “low self-esteem” and “no self-love” and it’s also why she adopted the moniker of “The Queen of Self Love.” With the buzz over her latest musical offering, the aptly entitled “No Self Love” EP, which features the earth-shattering lead singles “Be Yourself” and “Love Me”,; that was produced entirely by super producer “Tron Musiq” of Chris Brown fame at a fever’s pitch. It won’t be long before the young lady who grew up impersonating her favorite artists has the world craving a sound so sweet that only…“HoneyB” can soothe.
