Jameh (pronounced Jah-may) was born Jannett Haley Parris in Deerfield Beach, Florida to a renowned pastor and prominent First Lady. Jameh made her first solo debut at the age of six in the stands of her father's church choir. Since then she has graced many Florida stages performing as lead singer for several local bands from South Beach to Tampa, being both revered and ridiculed for "marching to the drum of her own beat" both lyrically and personally. Today she has managed, through the gift of voice, to combine the perfect blend of church traditions with mainstream harmonies to create a unique genre of music that is sure to touch every soul - 'Neo-Soul' mixed w/ 'Urban-Praise'.“Urban-Praise”as she defines it, is similar to Gospel but infinitely different because of it’s non-divisional influence on her listeners. Her music is meant to touch the spirit and motivate persons of all religions and culture; void of sectism. We invite you into her world of melodious pleasure and discordant pain where she is sure to take you on a musical ride that you won't soon forget!
"So what does Jameh have to offer that would make her stand out? As it turns out she has a gift not only for well-conceived vocal phrasing as well as a clear and wide range to boot, but also for being able to use dramatic melodies and harmonics very creatively. She has a style that is suited to both elaborately produced ballads and up-tempo material, and whatever she does is done very well." by Rick Jamm - READ FULL REVIEW
