I’m over the moon for my single ‘So in love’ has been featured on Os Garotos De Liverpool music blog.
You can read it here: https://bit.ly/3wIPwvF
However, if you don’t speak Portuguese then I have done a little google translate below :D
From Leicester, UK, she debuts here showing the track 'So In Love', released on all major streaming platforms on the 13th.
Having a great passion for soul and Motown, she delivers a work that shows the influence of artists of styles, but that goes mainly through contemporary pop, her unique style and that manages, in a unique way, to make a great mix between each of these strands.
Coupled with these instrumental, rhythmic and genre issues, we have a lyricism defined as a declaration of remorseless love. Striving to 'be nice' but also trying to find out if the other person feels the same way.
What an honour, I just received an email to say my new song So in love is going to be BBC Radio Leicester's Track of the Week
I can't wait to hear what the presenters think of my single... It got some great feedback on Saturday nights BBC introducing show... "You can hear the Motown seeping through the bars" - Dean Jackson, BBC Music Introducing
My brand new single 'So in love' is going to be featured on BBC introducing tonight in the East Midlands!

On a week where the superbowl half time show was all people could talk about and some big names celebrated releases and The Real Thing celebrated 50 years in music.
I am pleased to share that my latest single 'Just You & Me' has reached number 50 in the iTunes Rnb/Soul singles chart on iTunes.
This is down to you amazing people who buy and stream my music, I am on cloud 9 and could not do this without your belief in me.
What is the song about...
I noticed that some of the 'friends' I have on Social Media, I don't really know that much about their lives, other than what they post and want people to see.
I've had mant friends that I have loved dearly, but we just drifted apart, no big argument or confrontation, just life led us down different paths.
I realised during lockdown that it got to a point where it feels too long since we spoke, I cant just reach out and ask how things are. Chitchat seem irrelevant, and not enough when you see they're getting married or starting families.
This is what this song is about, as well as wondering if everything in their life is as roses as the public displays would have you believe, or do they really need a friend, do they miss you, do they miss with things were simple, do they was to 'Rewind' to when you had more time for each other.
Rewind is available to pre-save...

It has been 7 months since i last performed and to say I have missed it is a drastic understatement. I LOVE performing, and I am absolutely thrilled to be offered the opportunity to perform at The Bedford Pub in London!
It's a ticketed event, but the tickets are free. This is to ensure it is Covid secure, so there are a limited number of seats available. I hope you can make it, but if not, the show will be streamed on The Bedford Pub Facebook Page.
Eeeeeee... I'm off to practice... :D
I wanted to write a little note to say, I hope you're all okay.

Times are hard right now, but together we will find a way through.
I'm losing myself in songwriting, playing and production.
However you are keeping yourself busy or distracted, I hope you are keeping safe and well.
Looking after yourself and the people around you is more important than ever right now.
Sending love... I can't say when yet, but I hope to see you all soon at a live gig.

Hey,
I have been working really hard on my new music, there's been lots of writing and re-rewiting. (apparently I am really picky with Lyrics, *Insert eyes looking up emoji, trying to look cute*)
Good news is though, I now have a name for my new EP. This EP is going to be called 'Comfort Zone'
The artwork for the EP has been done by my incredibly talented friend Lauren Lewis at Picture Patch Photography, so obviously its going to be amazing.
The EP won't be released until the new year, but hopefully on pre-order before Christmas.

No this isn't an April Fools.
I have been working on new material for my second EP.
I am working and writing with a different producer from my last EP, and absorbing all I can of his musical knowledge.
We have written three tracks so far and I am very happy with how they are sounding, even if I do have a rotten cold at the moment.
There hasn't been a release date finalised yet for the new EP, but when I know, you will know :)

Last Night, ‘My King’ a song from my Debut EP ✨Little Spark✨ was played on national BBC radio.
This is a huge achievement, just 4 days after the release day.
The show is aired to BBC Local Radio across England and the Channel Islands from 7-10pm on weeknights across 40 BBC stations.
I was one of the featured BBC Introducing artists of the night and received a great review from Mark Forrest himself, who, after the song had played said, “We need to get her into the studio don’t we, for a chat, because she’s great”
Watch This Space ☺❤
Today I got invited into the BBC Radio Leicester studios to talk about my Debut EP
✨Little Spark✨
Still riding high on the success of the launch the day before, I arrived at the studio a little mob-handed (I had friends staying for my birthday weekend, and my parents; who are a major support and inspiration, wanted to come as it was my first time live on radio), and just had the best time.
Ady Dayman, who interviewed me was a lovely guy; who was clearly very passionate about up and coming artists and new music, we talked about my inspirations for writing the songs and my journey so far, as well as my favourite football team, (which nearly got me in hot water with my brother, who passionately supports Bradford City Football Club).
I then performed a live acoustic version of my song ‘My King’ from the new EP, which had previously been played on Dean Jackson’s BBC Introducing East Midlands show.
The performance went down really well and apparently you couldn't even tell I was nervous which was a huge bonus.
Before leaving I got photos with the producer and Ady himself.
All in all, I had a ball ☺❤
WOW, I have been up since.... well, I've been up all night, I have been too excited to sleep.
Today is EP release day, and My Birthday - Double Whammy!
What better birthday present could I have than my Debut EP ✨Little Spark✨being launched onto iTunes and reaching number 32 in the UK R&B/Soul singles chart?
I'm not sure it gets much better than that... I was amazed and absolutely over the moon.
I am so grateful for all the people that helped me achieve this phenomenal success on the first day of release. I was placed in the charts amongst some of my all time idols: Stevie Wonder, Otis Reading, Whitney Huston and Amy Winehouse, to name but a few..
Thank you so much... You'll be pleased to know that writing for EP has already commenced.
Much Love,
Lorna Dea ☺❤
So last night a song from my forthcoming debut EP ✨Little Spark✨ was played on BBC Introducing across the East Midlands Area by DJ Dean Jackson.
The Dean Jackson and the 'Supreme Team' expressed how much the enjoyed the track and seemed to be having a dance routine going on in the studio while the track was playing, with Emma staying "Me and Jules were shimmying."
I was very happy with the comments from Dean himself saying "I like that a lot" and "It sounds like its going to be a big year for Lorna"
Emma agreed by saying it was a "Great track" and "Very very stong."
If you missed it and you would like to catch up please follow the link:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03kdm3t
I was played 1 hour and 54minutes into the show and the comments that followed were very hummbling indead.
Thank you so much to Dean Jackson and The Beat team! You've made me one happy girlie :)
This is a very exciting time for me...
Only 12 days to go until Release Day for my Debut EP
'Little Spark'
Friday 18th March is a very significant day for me also as it is my Birthday, what better Birthday present than having your music released to the masses.
'Little Spark' is avaliable NOW on iTunes for pre-order on the below link: https://itun.es/gb/4KXUab
Also on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/7gmtXgntZDnwJPbHlgWC2W

So yesterday when I was getting ready for my gig, minding my own business, and steaming my vocals when I got mentioned in a Tweet.
There was a link attached which lead to the Candadian Blog, 'The Revue.'
As it turns out, I have been featured on an exclusive world wide list of the Top 25 Artists to Watch for 2016.
I was so made up, I shared it EVERYWHERE and was subsequently nearly late for my gig.
They describe Me, Lorna Dea as a “pop performer who brings a sometimes surprising raw edge to an otherwise divinely smooth vocal”
I'd like to say a HUGE thank you for such a lovely piece about me and my music.

Hellloo,
Some of you may know that I entered Open Mic UK last year and managed to get to the area final… Video here —> artistecard.com/LornaDea#!/videos/59671.
Open Mic UK is run by Future Music and is THE biggest UK search for unsigned musical talent.
Future Music also run a Teen Star singing competition that is the UK's largest search for unsigned teenage and pre-teen talent discovering the likes of Birdy and Luke Friend. Follow the link for more information regarding Teen Star www.teenstarcompetition.co.uk.
However, the real reason I’m telling you this is because I have asked to be a GUEST ARTIST for the ’late teens’ (16-19years) category show. I was delighted to be asked and accepted the invitation to play.
Soooo, tomorrow night, I will be singing at Milton Keynes Christian Centre as a GUEST artist whilst the votes are being counted for all the incredible acts that have got that far. I am also excited to show the team at Future Music; who had a lot of faith in me, how far I have come in the past six months since I was a contestant.
Chat with me directly on twitter.com/LornaDeaMusic
I’ll be tweeting to let you know how it goes :)

Whilst I'm on a roll...

Hellooo.
I thought I would just give you an update on my progress to date and what I am up to.
At the moment I am spending a lot of time giging at music/open mic nights this is great because it gives you the opportunity to meet new and exciting musicians. Performing also gives you the opportunity to get active feeedback from a live audience, and I'm glad to say everyone has been very supportive to date!
Behind the scenes I have been working on my vocal to make sure it's keeping strong against all the awful cold/flu/coughs that have been going around during the winter season.
Also, more excitingly, last week I started writing new music all to be considered for my debut EP which is expected to be released in April this year.
A talented Hinckley singer has made it through to the area finals of a top competition.
Lorna Dziombak has secured a place at the South West and Midlands Final for the Open Mic UK singing contest.
The 23-year-old will perform one of her original tracks live for the judges, with the hope of going onto the national final at the O2 Arena later this month.
Lorna, who works at Asda on Barwell Lane, performed a song she wrote, called Stay the Same at the regional finals in Milton Keynes.
She didn’t win the audience vote on the night but she got through on a national wildcard vote, competing against 34 other acts.
Thanks to her supportive fans, friends and family texting in to vote for her, Lorna is now excited to give it her all at the area final which takes place on Saturday at the NEC in Birmingham.
Lorna, who is in the 21 and over category, said: “I am totally overwhelmed and so excited to be performing.
“For area final I have got to sing a different song so I’ll be singing another original track which is a bit more up beat this time.
“Hopefully the audience and judges will like it but ultimately I’m just so thankful that I have got this opportunity to perform at the NEC where so many other international artists have performed.”
Miss Dziombak, whose stage name is Lorna Dea, went to John Cleveland College and Rochelle School of Dance. She has been working with songwriters and producer OD Hunte, who has worked with the likes of Emily Sande and Wretch 32, to create her own music which she will perform for the competition.
The competition is the biggest search for unsigned talent in the UK and is run by Future Music. If she is successful she will be in with a chance to win £5,000 to spend on her music career.

A supermarket worker has made it through to the regional finals of a top UK singing competition.
Lorna Dziombak, from Hinckley, will be performing live for the Open Mic UK showcase.
The 23-year-old, who works at Asda in Hinckley, said she is finally following her dreams and hopes to land herself a record deal.
The competition is the biggest search for unsigned talent in the UK and is run by Future Music.
Miss Dziombak, whose stage name is Lorna Dea, beat off thousands to make it this far and will now take part in a live head-to-head battle in front of an audience and a music industry judging panel.
If she is successful she will then go on to the National Grand Final at the O2 arena in November for a chance to win £5,000 to spend on her music career.
The singer, who went to John Cleveland College and Rochelle School of Dance, said she has been working with songwriters and producer OD Hunte, who has worked with the likes of Emily Sande and Wretch 32, to create her own music which she will perform for the competition.
She said: “I have wanted to do this ever since I was a little girl.
“I have been working hard to create my own sound and I hope that people will get the same amount of enjoyment out of my music as I get from making it.
“It has been a really exciting time.”
The regional finals will take place on October 25 in Milton Keynes.
For more information or to buy a ticket contact Lorna on l.dziombak@googlemail.com or visit www.openmicuk.co.uk.
