As an Activist....
With close to a decade of combating misogyny, organizing and planning creative protests for the rights of women of color and career narrative riddled with controversial conversation starters, MsNightLyfe is becoming a shero in the intersections of black feminism. As an organizer, she has photographed, lead panels, or featured on local media outlets such as The Impact with Robin Dorsey, WRTR Real Talk Radio and Tagg Magazine. Most recently, MsNightLyfe has been dubbed Tagg Magazine's 2018 Enterprising Woman of the year. As a cast member of Positive Scribe Productions, her acting work includes Walk Like A Man, Multimedia Project, Laurinda D. Brown Presents: Sometimes It Snows In Atlanta, and the stage play Worn Out Soles, a Destyne Fulfilled Production, both productions that addressed mental illness. As the founder of Sweet Tooth Media, and Editor-In-Chief of the The S.W.E.E.T Magazine, she has created positive press for several trendsetters and culture shocking revolutionaries such as San Francisco and Atlanta Black Prides, Nishia Da Diva Productions, Amuse Bourche Entertainment, K. Dapree's he(ART) and Soul, Entertainer Butterfly Soul, Pride Books and more.
As an Educator...
Jeanette MsNightLyfe Ferrell has an MBA in educational leadership from LeTourneau University and a bachelor of science in psychology from Texas Wesleyan University. She has lead campus wide poetry clubs at schools in Houston, Texas and Washington, DC. She has guided students to express themselves creatively and use spoken word to incite change in their communities. Under her leadership students have published their works in literary magazines and books of their own. MsNightLyfe has facilitated performance poetry, poetry classes, and workshops at public schools, correctional facilites and writers groups across America. Her education and experience has provided her with some excellent tools to apply in creating exceptional writing.

What You Not Gon' Do: A Book of Say It Plain Notions and Poetry, published in July 2019 is MsNightLyfe's most recent publication. MsNightLyfe's first book, Velvet Truths, a book of poetry was published in 2013. Her second published work, Reclaiming My Time: A Practical Guide to Self-Care was released in 2016. She has been published in varous media outlets, to include Tagg Magazine and Swerv Magazine. Her poetic accolades includes international work with SpokenWord Paris in Paris, France and Vortex in London with Natalie Stewart (Floacist) of Floetry. MsNightLyfe was nominated the 2016 Spoken Word Artist of the year and the Erotic Poet of the year. She has also been crowned as the National Poetry Awards 2015 Erotic Poet of the Year. She is an associate producer and member of The Punany Poets, from HBO's Real Sex.
