[Eng] ROOMMATES – Alternative Rock from the westernmost tip of Italy

Active since 2012, Roommates deliver a powerful and emotional alternative rock sound, blending energy and melody with influences from Biffy Clyro, Nothing But Thieves, and Incubus. With three studio albums, one live record, and a strong presence on the live circuit, the band has earned praise from audiences and critics alike, sharing stages across Italy with major international acts.

Their latest album, “Outside” (Vrec Music Label, 2024), marks a step forward in artistic maturity and international sound. It was produced by Pietro Foresti (multi-platinum producer known for working with members of Korn, Velvet Revolver, and Skunk Anansie) and mastered by Rich Veltrop (System of a Down, Rage Against The Machine, A Perfect Circle). The album features Nick Oliveri (Queens of the Stone Age, Mondo Generator), Diego “DD” Cavallotti (Lacuna Coil), and Alfredo D’Ecclesiis (La Terza Classe).

Currently on the road with their “Outside Tour 2025”, the band has performed in cities such as Milan, Turin, Udine, Modena, and Verona. Earlier this year they supported The Last Internationale on their two Italian shows (New Age Club and Legend Club), and will return to the Pistoia Blues Festival on July 10, sharing the stage with Blackberry Smoke and Paul Gilbert, after their 2022 appearance alongside Gov’t Mule. Other acts they've played with include Phil Campbell (Motörhead), Taipei Houston, Wildstreet, Mondo Generator, Pino Scotto, and Maurizio Solieri.

The band's discography began with “Fake” (2017), followed by “Roots” (2020), a concept album inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy, and the “Live Arena Festival” (2021), recorded during a major open-air concert in 2019. During the pandemic, they launched two successful online projects: “Playthrough & Storytelling”, analyzing the lyrics and arrangements of their songs, and “Room120”, a series of over 100 original covers reimagined in 120 seconds on YouTube.

In 2017, their music was recommended on the official Lynyrd Skynyrd Facebook page.

Attivi dal 2012, i Roommates portano sui palchi un alternative rock potente ed emotivo, con un sound che fonde energia e melodia ispirandosi a band come Biffy Clyro, Nothing But Thieves e Incubus. In oltre dieci anni di attività, hanno conquistato pubblico e critica con tre album in studio, un disco live e una costante presenza live nei festival e nei club di tutta Italia, spesso a fianco di nomi di rilievo della scena rock internazionale.

Nel 2024 esce “Outside”, il terzo album della band (Vrec Music Label), che segna una svolta artistica verso sonorità più mature e internazionali. Il disco è prodotto da Pietro Foresti (produttore multi-platino già al lavoro con membri di Korn, Velvet Revolver e Skunk Anansie) e masterizzato da Rich Veltrop (System of a Down, Rage Against The Machine, A Perfect Circle). L’album vanta collaborazioni eccellenti con Nick Oliveri (Queens of the Stone Age, Mondo Generator), Diego “DD” Cavallotti (Lacuna Coil) e Alfredo D’Ecclesiis (La Terza Classe).

Attualmente la band è impegnata nell’“Outside Tour 2025”, che ha già toccato città come Milano, Torino, Udine, Modena e Verona, ricevendo ottimi riscontri di pubblico e critica.
Nel 2025 i Roommates hanno aperto le due date italiane del tour dei The Last Internationale (New Age Club e Legend Club), e saranno di nuovo al Pistoia Blues Festival (10 luglio) con Blackberry Smoke e Paul Gilbert, dopo aver già calcato lo stesso palco nel 2022 con i Gov’t Mule di Warren Haynes. Tra gli artisti con cui hanno condiviso il palco: Phil Campbell (Motörhead), Taipei Houston, Wildstreet, Mondo Generator, The Last Internationale, Pino Scotto, Maurizio Solieri.

Il loro esordio discografico risale al 2017 con “Fake”, seguito da “Roots” (2020), un concept album ispirato alla Divina Commedia, e dal live album “Live Arena Festival” (2021), registrato all’Arena di Bigauda durante un grande show del 2019. Durante la pandemia hanno lanciato “Playthrough & Storytelling”, un progetto video di approfondimento su testi e arrangiamenti dei loro brani, e la serie “Room120”, una raccolta di oltre 100 cover in versione alternativa da 120 secondi pubblicate sul loro canale YouTube.
Nel 2017 sono stati segnalati sulla pagina ufficiale dei Lynyrd Skynyrd, che ha consigliato l’ascolto dei loro brani.
