BIO:
We've been sharing the stage as musicians since 2012, but Roommates are so much more than just a band. In these 11 years we have become a real family, taking our alternative rock with a strong emotional impact around Italy with the passion and energy that distinguish us, constantly searching for the emotion that comes from total involvement of the public that follows us and the one who discovers us for the first time.
In 2017 we released our debut album, "Fake" (Nadir Music and distributed via Audioglobe/Believe) and, in April of the same year, the great American band Lynyrd Skynyrd, from their Facebook page, recommended listening to our songs.
In 2019 we kick off the "Room120" project which involves the publication of covers completely revisited in our style in just 120 seconds on our YouTube channel . To date, the project has more than 100 videos made.
In May 2020 "Roots" was released, produced by Pietro Foresti (multi-platinum already alongside members of Guns'n'Roses, Korn, Asian Dub Foundation, Unwritten Law) and published by Vrec Music Label. It is a concept album inspired by the Divine Comedy, a real "painful" journey among the seven deadly sins where rock lives and takes shape and leads to the salvation of the soul. For the release of "Roots" we were supported by David Bonato's "DavveroComunicazione" press office.
2020 was a difficult year for the world of live music and, during the months of lockdown, we focused our energies on producing content shared online. This is how the "Playthrough and Storytelling" projects were born in which the songs from the "Roots" album are told in detail, both of lyrics and of each individual instrument.
In 2021 our live album "Live Arena Festival" saw the light, a production born from a great live concert that was held in the summer of 2019 at the Arena di Bigauda, in the extreme west of Liguria.
Finally, in 2022, we returned to the studio to work on the production of our third album (which will be released in 2023 and it features the participation of some international artists), without neglecting the live aspect, which gave us the opportunity to tread some important stages, such as the Pistoia Blues Festival (next to by Warren Haynes' great Gov't Mule) and the opening Shock Metal Fest by Phil Campbell (ex Motorhead). We also shared the stage with some Italian and international artists such as the Mondo Generator of Nick Oliveri (ex Queens of the Stone Age), The Last Internationale, Wildstreet, Taipei Houston, Pino Scotto and Maurizio Solieri (ex guitarist of Vasco Rossi).
