Vyshonn Miller (AKA Silkk the Shocker) has the knowledge necessary for entertainment business success. Co-founder, with his brothers Percy Miller (aka Master P) and Corey Miller (aka C-Murder), of No Limit Records, a legendary independent record label, Silkk the Shocker was instrumental in establishing and building an entertainment and media empire. From selling albums from the trunk of their car to establishing one of the biggest independent record labels in history, No Limit Records reached a status that most current labels envy. Landing on the Forbes Magazine list as one of the most successful businesses of its time, No Limit Records became a household name and a force to be reckoned with. No Limit created new and innovative ideas to a market that had no room for a new sound or this type of business strategy. Since then, other record labels and artists have adopted the business plans established by Silkk and No Limit Records.
To date, Silkk the Shocker’s personal achievements include selling over 7 million records (multiple platinum record status) as an independent label artist. While achieving impeccable status as an artist and a record label, No Limit Records released films such as I’m Bout It, Hot Boyz, I Got the Hook Up and Foolish, which lead to another successful business endeavor. After releasing his last album, Based on a True Story, Silkk took a break from music to focus on his film/television talent as well as other business ventures, which lead him to establish WindorMill Enterprises.
After five years working behind the scenes of feature films, fashion and television projects, Silkk the Shocker is back on the scene with one of his greatest album to be released this spring, GREEN DAY!

New Album with spring 2012 Release Takes Global Direction
LOS ANGELES, CA. – February, 2012- Silkk the Shocker is the one of the most recognized names in the music industry. He earned this status on No Limit Records, alongside his brothers Master P (Percy Miller) and C-Murder (Corey Miller). Now with his own label Six Five Music, Silkk the Shocker is ready to make history once again. A multi-Platinum selling recording artist and an established business entrepreneur, Silkk the Shocker is back with his the latest and greatest to date, GREEN DAY!! The album drops in spring of 2012.
The CD’s singles include LML, Air force Music, Green everything, and Microwave. “What makes this CD unique is the growth of the old’ Silkk into the new Silkk,” said Silkk the Shocker, adding “This is a global album, it’s for everyone.”
Silkk the Shocker was born and raised in New Orleans, LA in the 3rd Ward District. It was there that he began to rap and was nicknamed “Lil’ Silkk” due to his smooth demeanor. As a teenager, eventually he dropped “Lil’” from his nickname, and joined a number of rap crews, including Master P’s group TRU; also featuring C-Murder. In 1996, Silkk released his debut, The Shocker, on No Limit Records. Shortly after its release, he appended "The Shocker" as a surname.
The Shocker (platinum) slowly became an underground success, largely based on strong word of mouth. Throughout the course of 1997, Silkk the Shocker was all over No Limit releases, appearing on the I'm Bout It soundtrack, Tru's Tru 2 da Game, Mia X's Unlady Like, Mystikal's Unpredictable, and Master P's “Ghetto D”. In 1998, with great anticipation, Silkk the Shocker would release, Charge It 2 da Game, which also reached platinum status after only eight months of promotions. His best yet, Made man, was released in 1999 with 2 successful singles, It Ain’t My Fault 2 and Somebody Like Me, featuring R&B Singer Mya. The album went to sell double platinum and Somebody Like Me went on to become one of the year’s top selling singles on the BILLBOARD charts. Since then, Silkk the Shocker went to release two addition solo projects: My World, My Way (2001) and Based on a True Story (2004) both reaching Gold.
“This album was easy, there was no pressure at all,” said Silkk. “I thought the wait would make it harder to come back, but actually it made it easy. The most amazing thing is the way every one has been so receptive, and my fan base is growing rapidly. "GREEN DAY!! Releases with a tour called “The Green Everything Tour", with an after-party in each tour city! Silkk will also launch a radio promotional tour and video tour that will include meet-and-greets.
