GINELLE
was born in Los Angeles,CA and Was raised by a single father who was a dynamic Baptist minister at the time. She discovered her passion for music at an early age. Growing up against the colorful backdrop of suburban life in Pasadena, Ginelle knew what it was to be a survivor after the tragic death of her mother when she was only three years old.Her notable resilience would continue to grow throughout her middle to high school years as Ginelle became ardently involved in various talent shows, ensembles and girl groups.
At the tender age of 14 she discovered she had a knack for songwriting and soon began composing and recording hooks for local LA rap artists such as XXL, Crown City Kings and others. Highly driven and motivated​she began to expand her recording career to not just be a hook writer but to be a full- fledged recording and performing artist. After graduating Pasadena High School Ginelle attended Fisk University in Nashville TN where she studied music, majoring in voice and minoring in theory and piano. In 2002 she went on to study music business at Belmont University. It was here she expanded her knowledge of musical genres from classical to funk, soul and R&B. Heavily influenced by such artists as George Clinton & Parliament, Atlantic Star, Teena Marie and many others this budding vocalist further honed her skills as front woman for Nashville cover band Velvet Soul. Ginelle and the band became a staple at the renowned Red Carpet Lounge which was known to host various R&B and hip hop celebrities such as Floetry, John B and Young Buck to name a few.
In 2005 the young singer/songwriter was introduced to the NYC music scene while doing a summer internship at the now legendary Roc-A-Fella Records. Later that year she collaborated with infamous Philly DJ Rich Medina to co-write and perform his groundbreaking "Connecting The Dots" album which was released on Dutch label Kindred Spirit Records. She was soon discovered by the late impresario and event promoter Mark Berkley while performing at a bar in Chelsea. From there she gained notoriety for her flamboyant and provocative cabaret show at HK lounge in Hell's Kitchen,with scintillating performances covering hits by various artists ranging from Donna Summer to Beyonce to standing room only audiences. The young songstress was received with rave reviews from notable entertainment rag HX referring to her as "divalicious' and stating "a new star of NYC nightlife is born".
Ginelle continued to follow her passion by relocating to R&B mecca Atlanta in 2009 where she has worked extensively with some of the city's hottest party bands.
She is the sexy female vocal diva of Sugar Cane.
MARK
Originally hailing from the tiny caribbean island of barbados, he has garnered international recognition as a music artist. Mark grew up performing in church with his family and studied music when attending The Alleyne School as a teenager.
At the age of 21 he won the MSC Award for Male Vocalist of the Year as front man for top Barbadian group Promise and later went on to become keyboardist/ vocalist of top Caribbean soca group Krosfyah.
He is also known as a session keyboardist, with a long list of reggae notables to his credit. He has worked with Culture feat. the late Joseph Hill, Anthony B, Glen Washington and Eek- A - Mouse just to name a few.
Major highlights of his career include being a guest artist of the Olympiads at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, performing at former President Bill Clinton's 1997 Inaugural New England Ball and representing the USA at the 1st Anniversary Commemoration of the US Embassy bombing in Nairobi Kenya.
Mark has spent the last few years working as lead vocalist/ keyboardist with a couple of the most coveted party bands in Atlanta and as a unique baritone covers a wide range of vocal stylings from Frank Sinatra to Rod Stewart, Wilson Pickett to Usher.
